Sounds like ya'll are getting pretty close.....Some good hunts there.

Well, I had a pretty rotten weekend. Saturday it hit 92*. I sat over a water hole, nothing. I saw one damn doe all weekend, and that was yesterday morning right at daybreak. I did, however.....manage no less than 200 chiggers! [:@] I'm about to OD on Benadryl.......oh my god I itch....

Finally supposed to cool off later this week. Highs in the 60's by Thursday. Much better.
So, the thermacell don't work for chiggers? For the itch, try putting vinegar on them. That's what Grandma used to do for us.

Then, if you put a little oil behind each ear, you'll smell like salad!:D

I couldn't resist!! I do have to say when I was out in the 80 degree weather this weekend, it calmed my desire to go hunting just a little ... so I understand ;)....our season finally opens on SATURDAY!!!!!
