I've been out EVERY FREAKING day and the dang bucks are not cooperating! Didn't see anything today or tonight. Winds whipping up. Rain tomorrow and cold Friday. Friday night calling for snow.

well not alot of action this way went out sunday only seen one doe. I guess the guy who hunts the property just to the east of my stand shot a really nice 5x5 sunday morning and were trampsing through the woods all day so the deer movement was shot for me. going out again sunday morning and then heading back out west on tuesday. hope the rest of you have better luck than I am having

Congrats to Dave! I'll head on over there and check out the story.
I shot a coyote last evening, but that's all I saw. That's my first yote though, it was pretty cool. My shop owner has been wanting one to have mounted for the shop, so I guess now he's got one. Beautiful coat on this one too.
I got up this morning with ideas of heading to the woods, but I'm going to wait out the rain. It's moving pretty quickly and I think in about an hour it will be over with. But it's going to be windy, about 15 mph. But this time of the year, staying home is not an option.

Congrats there Mo on the doe and the yote.
Well seems I am having luck similar to all of yours. Not seeing any shooters close enough. Have a fork horn and spike I have been seeing pretty regular from a couple different stands. Having Matt home for hunting is AWESOME. We are having a great time. He bagged a doe and a real nice 8 pointer (picture below). We had a strange east wind on Saturday evening so he hunted to the west of some of our known doe bedding areas. With a west or north wind these bedding areas are really not huntable. Anyway he gets in stand at about 2:50 (hunting closes at 6:20 or so that night). Hits his can call 4 times and hears something coming in less than a minute. This buck walked down wind of him at about 23 yards. Well he has been saying for years that he is tired of taking deers breath away and he wants to break ones heart some time. I got us custom make truck stickers that say "BowHunting - Breaking Hearts and Taking Breath Away". Well he did it. He laid that bucks heart wide open.
So now it is my turn. We are home for these couple days with bad weather here (25 mph winds and rain with snow coming). We will be heading out tomorrow night for Saturday thru Tuesday morning hunting. Then he heads back on Wednesday morning. We are supposed to have cold weather here for the weekend. Really looking forward to it as this record heat has not been very good.
Here is Matt's 8 point. We scored him at 100 6/8. He has a high school hockey buddy that mounts deer and is getting it done. The guy said it should be ready before Christmas.

Saw a few does this morning, but that was all. I stayed put until the wind picked up. It was just too dangerous to sit in a tree. So, I'm going to finish my shopping and packing, and I'm leaving tomorrow morning for a week.

Congrats to Matt! But if he would have been a true loving son, he would have let you put that one down for the team!

Anyway I am still really pumped about getting a chance at something here yet. Have some pretty good weather coming in and I still have some time before all the orange army heads out on November 22nd.

Oh, he only got it cause he's used to being up in the Crow's Nest. He probably benefited from the tree rocking in the wind too (simulating the motion of the ocean). He took unfair advantage of the situation and don't let him forget that! Tell him I said so.

I will let him know that tonight at dinner with my parents. Even with the time we have already spent out there I just can't wait to get back out tomorrow night for the 3.5 days starting Saturday morning. Saturday will still be bad weather but we will at least be out there.
