Is it October 1st yet??? I was fishing in the pond this afternoon and while back in a cove, I caught a little bluegill. I commented out loud that the lure was bigger than him and a slickhead jumped up about a foot from the shore. She blew and started up the hill and seven more slickheads jumped up and followed her out. Jeez, I can't even fish in peace and quiet without deer getting into the picture.

Good Morning XIX. Wow, what a difference a day makes. Yesterday it got up to 84 degrees and today the high is going to be 68. Y'all have a good day today. I've got to get a fire lit under the butts at the DFAS Retired Pay Center today. I'm tired of not getting my pension. Can you say "Congressional Interest?"

84 yesterday eh? You poor thing. *sniffle, sniffle* It was 95 here yesterday.......oh, and did I mention the humidity?? Good lord......Only 82 today, and 72 tomorrow! Bring on those fall cold fronts!! Season opens the 15th, and with a little luck we'll get a little cool weather around then.

Should be back online tomorrow evening, at least, that's the plan.

92 yesterday and today's high is supposed to be 71. Some upper 60's coming over the next few days. Getting hard to wait.

today would have been perfect weather for an early season hunt!!! only if it were in the US!!! light rain this morning followed up by overcast and a high of 72. Hopefully I can get that type of weather when I get home. The countdown has officially started 15 days and counting!!!!!!!!!!
