I could be out in 18 days if I wanted to hunt the youth/disabled season, but I haven't applied for my lifetime license yet, so I'll just wait til 10/1/08.

I just got back from my woods today and saw some of the largest tracks that i have ever seen in my life. I normally set my camera up all season but this year i have decided against it. One day last season i sat in a stand above my feeder and camera and watched deer come in all day long and as soon as my camera snapped a shot they jumped and high tailed it out of there. May just be my cheap Wildview camera or those deer may have been too pressured. Never the less i don't anything but positives by staying out of my woods as much as possible during pre season.

My moultrie hardly makes any noise at all when taking pic's. I have pics of deer with their nose against the camera and a minute later, still standing right there.

Not having internet right now at home straight up sucks. ATT is jacking us around over the modem, I'm not sure when/if we'll get another one. I'm looking at changing providers and was hoping to be back online by today. Well, that's not going to happen. And I SHOULD be off work today, but thanks to a frickin phone call at 3:15 yesterday (I'm off @ 3:30) here I am. Just in case they would need something....LOL.....spoiled a 4 day weekend, and my wife and kids left for Ohio last evening, so I'm on my own too....

Anyway, I'll try to check in at some point over the weekend, but unless I'm at a buddie's house w/ internet......Ya'll won't see me until tuesday, after today. Ok, I'm over my little rant now, I feel better.

Just call ATT and tell them you are paying for a service and expect SERVICE. If the "customer service person" getting minimum wage gives you the same old song and dance, talk to his/her supervisor. If you get the run around again, talk to their supervisor, etc. Tell the supervisor to resolve this today. Explain you have no issues with taking this to the top and to the court of public opinion. A little line that usually helps with these jerks is "When I get good service I tell everyone I know, when I get jacked around, I tell EVERYONE including people I don't know." Then I usually throw in "well, you better expect a call from corporate."

On the other issue, I know you really wanted to go spend a weekend with your in-laws, but a weekend at home alone isn't always bad. You can do what you want to do when you want to do it and no one is there to make other demands upon you. Relax...... If you feel yourself getting wound up, just repeat this chant: "OhwaTafoo Lyam". Start off slow, and repeat it faster and faster until you feel better.

Sorry you are still having problems with that AT&T idiots. I work on computers all day about really do almost nothing on them at home. Almost all my time on here is spent during work time.

Not looking like I will be heading back out to the property again before the season in 2 weeks. I know exactly where I will be spending opening morning and evening. Both spots can be good early spots but if it is warm the deer don't move for very long in the morning and wait until almost dark to start back up. Either way I hope to put the slam on a doe right away and earn my buck tag for next year. I have 3 buck tags for this year from does I shot last year. That is one thing our DNR has done right. This way we can start the year with a buck tag and not have to let a big buck walk if that is the first deer we see.
