I got out tonight. I saw two deer, both were bucks. One was a odd-racked 6, the other was a young basket rack 10 point. The 10 pt was very tempting, but it is young deer and just a basket rack well inside the ears....plus its still September.
I also put a stand out on some property I just got access to hunt on, so I'm looking forward to getting out and hunting that piece.
Anyone else see anything lately??

My hunting has been put on hold for the next couple of days.
I bought a used tractor this weekend and will be bringing it home tomorrow night.
I should be out by Thursday or Friday afternoon afterI get done playing with my new toy.
Will definitly be out Saturday.

Who is going to make it out in the morning? I plan to hunt in the morning, cold from came through this morning so temps will be in the low 40's. I am hoping that will encourage some deer movement. I will then be hunting all next week. I love this time of year. good luck guys

My season officially starts tomorrow morning but I wont be able to hit the woods until Saturday. I'm heading to some family owned land around Springfield, IL were we have seen a 10 to 12 pointer who should score around 150ish. If that doesn't go to well I'll be heading to southern Illinois 3 weeks after that.

Hey guys, I had a pretty good morning. I saw a buck at about 200 yards around 8 am and then 3 does came in about 8:30. I was able to take the mature doe at 10 yards! First time I have used the Rage heads and they have made me a believer. She went down 50 yards in site of my stand. How did everyone else do this morning?

nice doe you got there densfbs... havent been out since last saturday... had some pretty bad luck, seen 2 doe's, a small 4 pointer and a smaller 8... also seen a coyote, wolf, and a bear... im so sick of bears! they can go hybernate for the winter now... im sick of them! im going down turkey hunting southwest of madison about a half hour and if a nice buck walks out down there im shooting him, theres some monsters there so chances are pretty good.. sorry i havent been on here lately, one morning the site was down and thats when i come on so ya... Good luck guys, and be safe!
