Is snow good weather for hunting?
#3

Deer are few & far between around some of our areas... The snow is welcomed because it helps us pattern them better and get in after them.
Plus, is there anything as pretty as a blood trail in the snow!?!?

If your hunting over a cut corn field or a food source then it is great to have snow on the ground because the deer need to find food and go straight for the main food sources.

Mike welcome to the forums... Yes, snow can be great to hunt on, however when it is snowing it can be hard unless you know where they are currently bedding. The deer will hold tight up here when it is snowing out. The same thing for moose. they tend to loose thier sence of dirrection or some thing when it is snowing hard. Once they move out of the beds they are easier to find with tracks going all over the place. Once you get used to it you can for the most part tell a fresh track from an old track. Good luck with it..
