RE: String Cleaning?
I saw a tip on another post about cleaning and waxing strings once that really made sense, so I tried it once and was amazed at the result. I wish I remember who it was who gave the tip, but I can't. Anyhow, whoever it was, said that before you wax the string, take a peice of dental floss and wrap it once around the string and pull it real tight on both ends ( kinda like you are trying to choke the string), then slide the floss up the string. You won't beleive the crap that comes out of the string. old wax, dirt particles etc. I did it and was amazed!. Then when you are done re wax the string very thoroughly. The guy said that it gets rid of dirt particles that can actully knick and damage the string fibers when re-waxing. It made a beleiver out of me.
