We do too .... in a way , our state is divided by units and each unit has its own hunting time frame.
Some will only besix days whileothers might be two weeks and then we have what they call a guaranteed hunt for private land that last for thirty days.
The season starts April 18th and runs thru until May 31st

The good thing about it here is that if I put in for "land owner" tag. I'm almost guarenteed a tag, still only 5 days, but at least I get to hunt.
