Is this sight going to be for indoor, 3-D or both?

If you're going to cross back and forth with a single scope I'd suggest one with interchangable lenses. The 6-8x lenses are great for shooting spots but you run into a lot of focus and glare problems with them for 3D. I keep them down at 2-4x for 3D. I also prefer a flat lense to a convex/concave one for reducing glare issues. As with most things, the best thing to do is try a few out at the shop and see what you like. I really like my Specialty Super Scopes but there have been a lot of new scopes on the market since I got mine. You'll also want to play around with different reticles/pins.

I really feel that Lancaster Archery's CR Apex brand scopes are probably the best deal for a scope setup. Right now I am using a Copper John ANTS Evo2 with a small CR Apex target size housing with a Mag Sight 6x lens and a black ring in it. DY Optic makes a great lens as well for not a ton of money and I have seen his personally. They look really nice.

The CRApex series scopes will be my next purchase as well.

I still don't know what I will be using for glass though.

That is, if I can fight this temporary bought with sinus infection/archery burnout.
