Merry Christmas to you and your's as well Greg!

And Mike, yes it's true, I can kill does year round. There is a nursery not far from where I work. The owner has after season permits that allows us to shoot does throughout the year. It is similar to a farmer being able to shoot deer for degradation (sp?) of his crops. Since the deer eat his plants, he has permits. And we don't have to leave them where we shoot them, we can keep the meat. If we couldn't keep the meat then I wouldn't shoot them until the regular season. We just have to be really carefull to not shoot a buck that has dropped his antlers later in the winter. That's kinda the reaso I haven't gotten into turkey hunting since I can deer hunt year round. I think I will definitely try to turkey hunt some this year. My family farm down in SC is LOADED with them...I've seen tracks as big as my hand...and I have big hands!! :D

My cousin is coming up here from SC this weekend and he got a bow back in the summer. Hopefully I'll be able to put him on his first deer this weekend. The weather looks good so I'll keep my fingers crossed!

I went to 2 different spots today (morning and evening) and saw nothing. It was 72 FREAKIN degrees today! That along with the full moon have got the deer cruising at night. It's supposed to rain tomorrow (sunday) and get colder. I can't hunt on Sunday's in NC but the forecast looks better for Monday and Tueday.

Yeah no joke! It was HOT. If it was September then I wouldn't be complaining about 70 degrees. But my goodness, its almost January and I'm sweating in the stand!?!?! Gotta love the sound!

Mike, have you emailed or heard from any of our other members like HunterKentucky (can't remember any other names now) in the last month or 3? I have no idea what's going on with them. Why get on a team and not check in ONE FREAKIN time the whole season. Hopefully everything is ok with all of them.

I emailed all the team members 3 times. Some of them responded and some didn't. I hope we do better next year.
