Sooooo anyone been out?? I haven't been out in almost 2 weeks and its KILLINGme!! Hopefully I can sneak out of work early tomorrow and get an afternoon hunt in. I'll be in the tree Sat morning for sure. Good luck fellas!

Well I was able to get in the woods yesterday afternoon. I got in the stand about 4:00-4:15. About 20 minutes in to the sit I heard a deer coming towards me. I was hoping it was a buck since I had done some light grunting about 5-10 minutes earlier. It was a buck, unfortunately he was young. He was a good looking 8 pt. He came VERY close to getting shot. I mingled around in front of me for nearly an hour. Another young buck, a 4 pt came in about 30 minutes after the first one showed up. I was talking myself in and out of shooting the 8 pt. He was very symmetrical but he was still young. It was hard to talk myself into shooting him since I have seen several bucks that are larger than him...then again the season is winding down :(and I want some horns on the dirt. I ended up letting him live to see another day. Now if he comes back in a couple of weeks...look out! I'm hoping to be able to get in the tree this afternoon, but if not, definitely in the morning. Good news!!! BUCK DOWN!!! :D 8 pt got the air let out of him this morning!! He busted me last night but this morning I switched trees (about 20 yards between the two) and smoked him!! He's no giant but after the run in I had with him yesterday evening, he got it. There are 2 other bucks a good big larger than him but time is running short. Hopefully the bigger boys will show before the season ends Jan 1. I don't have time to put the tape on him or put up the pictures...I have to go catch a airplane. I should have time to do it tomorrow night. He's probably about the same size as Greg's. Story and pics to come...
