My buddy missed an 8 pt yesterday afternoon. His stand is very close to mine. I could here him shoot but I didn't know what he was shooting at. He shot right over the buck's back. About 30 minutes later I had a doe come up from behind me to the right...which of course is the worst place to come from for a right hand shooter. Once she finally moved out to my left I was able to come to full draw and she offered me about a 18ish yard shot. I thought I had nailed her but its so thick in there that when we got down to look for my arrow....it was broken and not bloody. I must have hit a tree/limb somewhere along the way. Needless to say I was not happy. But we saw probably 10 or 11 deer yesterday so that always good!! Time to watch the race I'll talk at ya'll later!!

Boy am I getting tired of typing a long reply just to get denied....what is up with this site lately? Anyway, don't feel bad Dave,I put a hurtin' on a tree yesterday as well. Limb was hangin' in the shadows and of course I hit the damn thing while shooting at a doe. Oh well, hung another stand today on another property, hopefully if work cooperates I'll get to hunt it on Mon. eve. Good luck to all!!!!!

Well the weather has finally started to cool off here in NC. The high today is supposed to be 75 so hopefully they'll be up and moving pretty good. If they have been walking in 95 degree weather they should be up and about this afternoon. I'm headed to the woods every afternoon after work this week so we'll see how it goes!!
