Had a couple extra kids for the weekend soI got to sit sat PM only. Saw one doe and an unknown right at dark. With cold weather moving in I may have to take a day off this week and get out there.

last thur.-sun. I was turkey/deer hunting. Saw some good toms but never got a good shot. Thursday A.M. at 7:30 I started moving in on a roosted tom, 20 yards in I noticed something in periferial view. I slowly turned realizing I was standing face to face with big buck at 30-35 yards. I'm not good at scoring live deer but I'd safely say 145 posibaly up to 160. I never got a good shot at him. Then this last Tuesday we were slow at work so left an hour early and was on stand at 3:45. By 4:30 I rattaled in possably the same buck. I rattaled him from 80 yards up to 25 but just had too many branches in the way. First gun season starts this weekend but I will be in my stand with bow in hand. Good luck to all.
