Well, it looks like the weather will finally start to cool. Should be a bit better this week.

Hey guys sry i havent posted in awhile been really busy with life in general. anyways the hunting is finaly picking up here in southern illinois now that it has cooled down seen 13 the other night mainly all yearlings there however was 2 nice does in the group but they didnt give me a chance to shoot at them and i dont want to settle for a fawn. How ever yesterday i was hunting and i desided to get out of my stand at 9:30 because it was cold and i wasnt seeing anything so half way down the ladder with my bow already lowered to the ground i herd some crashing through the brush and coming right for me and like an idiot i froze and looked to see what was coming and with my horiable luck in stroled a giant illinois buck he would have easily dressed out over 250 lbs and he was probly around a 145-160 class deer he had atleast 12 main points between both sides but he had several kickers on most of his beams he was a true giant the worst part about all of this is how he stoped 10 yrds from me broad side and out of breath and the slowly troghted off puzzeld i continued to climb out of my stand to hear more crahing through the woods and readied my bow to see a nice german short hair pointed with its nose on the ground fallowed by some little house dog. I ran the dogs off in disgust but what i dont get is why that big boy was runing from those dogs he could have easily stomped both of those dogs but i wonder if ill ever see that buck again i sure hope i do. well i plan on going to some differnet property tonight in hopes of some better luck. good luck to all and i hope we get some points on the board be4 long.

Hello fellow Assassins.....I have been out 5 time, hunting just across the border in Quebec, I live in Vermont. Anyhow, have passed up on 2 bucks, one a 165-175 lb 4 point (2x2), Rack bigger then a basket rack, just missing brow tines. The other one was a opp's, should of shot him, let him walk by, didn't have much time, was bigger then 1st thought. Was a 115-120 class buck....Why haven't I flug a arrow ? .. I am hunting 1000 +acre farm, that only 3 people hunt, In Aug saw13 different bucks that go over 120 class with 3 bucks in the 140-150 class all in one field on the farm !
Good luck to all..............LM
