hey team,

i guess i got the vote, and will be taking the captain job this season, I'm excited. Is there anyone who does not want to use the name "bone collectors", since it was used last season. I guess I don't mind myself, but if there is any objections, let us know.

I also will be hunting in two states, Minnesota and Heading out to Montana the begining in October. Been going to the same place in MT for 4 years, this will be my 5th. See great deer every year, last year i took a 120 class deer. This year hope to put a bigger guy on the ground for team 11.

Kyle

So when does everyones season start?
I'll be hunting in 2 states PA and NY. PA starts on set 29 and NY starts Oct 14. Between the 2 I should hopefully get something on the ground for us.
My season starts October 1st. I'm hoping to catch one of the "Big Boys" ina transition area that I found. The only problem, it's so overgrown that I can only put in a ground blind. I saw these guys, three of them, last year. The first words out of my mouth: "Oh my*censored* GOD!" I hunt public land and I have never see any good sized deer on it. Looks like our 1 buck rule is working!! I hopeI connect. I don't want to let you guys down!

About the name, Bone Collectors....I was thinking that maybe those who had it last year might want it again. [&:]

How about a new name?
I kinda like Trophy Takers and Lung Busters. We're those used last year?

Other names:
Silent Stalkers
Pernicious Predators
Tree Huggers-has this been used?
Fall Feather Flingers - lol
Crease Punchers
Tree Walkers

I had to drag out Webster's, to make sure my definition of pernicious was correct! lol Bad, huh??? As defined by Webster's: pernicious - causing great injury, destruction or ruin; fatal; deadly.

You're right, Pernicious Predators is catchy. I'm all for it. Did anyone else have to look that one up in the dictionary?
Congrations to Kyle for being our fearless leader.
We start hunting here in Missouri on Sept 15, LESS than a month away. It's usually so hot, but I always hear that first day is usually worth it. I let a 6 pointer go last year on the first day and then never got a chance at him the rest of the year.
In the meantime, let's make sure our gear and accuracy is up to par! The only thing I changed this year is a new string, now just getting it sighted back in.
By the way, just want to let you know that my 12 year old son hunts with me sometimes. He started shooting last year and he only got to hunt one very cold day. This year, after shooting on my archery league this past winter, he'll be with me more often. My 9 year old will tag along on occasion also.
