sorry guys for not posting much lately. been house sitting this week for the parents who are at the beach. their computer is a lot slower than ours at home plus with working 12+ hours a day this week hasn't left much time for me to do or feel like doin anything this week. hope everyone is out there scopin out their kills for this year. i've been slackin need to get my butt in gear and start putting cameras out. goin to go to ohio soon and do some scouting since thats where i will be doin most of my hunting this year. also will be getting last years deer back i killed in ill. when my brother-in-law goherd1111 comes in next week. will be posting pics of it for you guys when it gets here. sorry for the long post just trying to catch you guys up on whats goin on in my area for right now.

Only 15 days until our season opens in Missouri. I'm taking my oldest son out today to hang a couple of treestands. I hunt on public land and today is the first day they let us hang them. I've rigged my mountain bike and will pull my deer cart with the 'goods' attached about a mile in for the first one. Still scratching my head (yeah, with a pot attached to it) on how to get to my other location. Might just have to pack it in. I hope my son knows CPR. I may just need it! After we get that done we will build a brush pile at another location for the pop-up blind that my son will use. Hope everyone else is as anxious as I am. My wife still just doesn't get it.
I haven't seen much out there buck-wise, but like I said earlier I don't have the time to spend scouting. Just have to go on gut instinct - and my gut isn't very smart.

Maybe you should take your wife. I know thatmost women think it's all about the killing. As we all know, it's not. Maybe if you take her, she'll see that.

Sorry for not keeping in touch, have been busy with work and it just seems like alot has been going on lately! Hey cityboy, I live about 25 miles north of Springfield and also cant wait for the season opener on the 15th!

Hi guys, It's been a while but I'm still here. I haven't been posting anything due to work and trying to enjoy the last of the summer heat. :-) quick ? how on earth do i get that great avatar in my post?? i have tried everything and can't seem to get it right.

Hi Teamster,
Do a right mouse click over my avatar, then 'save-as' to your computer where ever you want to put it. Then go to your profile page load that image as your avatar. IMPORTANT: don't forget to scroll down to the bottom and hit the 'apply' button.
I had to go into the original image, crop some of the border and then reduce the file size. It's about as good as I could get without going over the file size limit. Good Luck.
