First of all, Congrats to Jim on a dandy buck. Team 1 is starting to come into our own!!!
And thanks for the well-wishes on my buck everyone. The footage is amazing, unfortunatelymy shot placement wasn't. I hit him a little far back and thankfully caught enough of the liver to kill him relatively quickly. We let him lay overnight and found him not 200 yards from where I shot him. To say I was relieved is beyond the understatement of the year. I literally almost came to tears when we found him since I was so upset for making a bad shot. From the highest of highs to the lowest of lows, and right back again all in the matter of a few hours. It's amazing how bowhunting will do that to you.
In the end it all worked out for the best, and I couldn't be happier. Good luck to everyone else who is still out hunting, the best time of the year is still yet to come!
