Good Luck guys. I don't plan on getting into a tree until 3rd week in October. Hopefully good things come to those who wait!

a week from tomorrow is my opener. i will hopefully be hunting the evening (school in the morning) and then the following morning. two weeks ago my cousin found a nice shed. the buck would easily score 140" if the other side is the same, plus what he has grown this year. im pumped.

Didn't get to sit this weekend. We end up starting combining soybeans, the wind was blowing 25-52mph this weekend, and my grandma had emergency surgery. Hopefully, I'll be able to get out during the week.

Well I got my buck tag now. On Saturday night she came by me. The hole is the enterance and it went just under the spine cutting the main artery and then deflating the left lung. She didn't go very far. Good to get that taken care of so I can start to look for one (or all 3) of the bigger bucks I have seen on my camera. Anyway here she is.

congrats on the nice doe wihunter!

I sat friday eve and passed on a few 100" bucks and one 115"....

Im gonna change up this weekend and hunt an oak flat... the nuts are fallin real good now... Was way to hot to hunt sat... 88 and 80% humidity... plus I had to help my brother-in-law cut firewood...

Should be hunting all day sat.. and might sneak out one eve for a quick sit...

Way to go wihunter!

I finally got to sit this evening for the first time. The wind wasn't perfect, but I had to get out. I hadn't been in my stand for a minute when I had a coon walk by, and deer started appearing. I end up seeing 12 does/fawns, and 1 buck.

I told myself if a doe presented itself, I would take it. I had a doe coming in at a good clip, when I turned for some odd reason to a licking branch/scrape behind me, and I had a doe there. I end up taking the doe behind me at 8 yards with the new G5 Striker. The doe managed to go about 50 yards before piling up. I got both lungs and the top half of the heart.

Meanwhile, the doe that was coming in steady was still on her way, she caught the trail of the doe I had just shot and started to circle downwind of me. I happened to have 2 doe tags, so I took her at 32 yards as well.

My batteries on my camera died, so I didn't get a pic of both of 'em.

And to make things more interesting, I had a 125" 4x4 come by at 26 yards as well, you have no idea how tempting it was to fill all 3 of my archery tags in 4 minutes......

Rammer that is too cool. Two deer that quickly and then to pass up a nice buck. Would have been sweet to get but I can see that it would be hard to know your bow season is over that early when you had 3 tags. Nice shot and good luck filling the buck tag.

hey guys congrats on your does I shot a doe on sat. night in a new spot I found this year. It was my second time on the stand the first time I had a buck walk past right where I have no shooting lanes, so I moved the stand the next night and had this doe come out I let her feed for awhile hoping the buck would come by.Shot her at 8yrds she went about 20yrds.I'm headed to Pa. this weekend for a week of hunting.Good luck everyone!
