Wow - that is a magnum buck. That's the first trailcam picture I've seen so far this year where it's obvious that the buck is starting to pack on some weight around his neck. He's gonna be a tank by late October.

Went spotting last night - and I've located a piece of property that I really want to hunt. Saw a buck there twice in late July that will push 150 (and a few other nice deer). Last night, same place, saw a half-dozen more deer that I'd hang on the wall. The adjoining woodlot is kinda small, too - maybe 300-500 acres total.

I think it's a landlocked parcel owned by a coal company (surrounded by posted, private) - and I think I have a way in. This weekend, I hope to be making some things happen with that.

Got the final tune-up on my bow last night, too. Shot about 30 arrows, and I'm really confident out to 40-45.

Just a matter of time fellas.

Quick good luck on getting that spot it sounds like it could be a little paradice. I also got dialed in to 40 yards, I set up a range at work and shoot twice a day. I feel good about any shot I take out to 40 yards.

As for that buck I can't wait to see him from a tree stand.
