Well if it doesn't work for this year we can always shoot for next year....

RE: 13-Official Team 13 Thread
I too would love to join a bunch of Dark Horses and go on a speed goat hunt.
However this year will be tough for myself also.. as I have vacations already set and too many weddings this fall already. But I'm game to try and figure something out for 09' after we repeat..:D |
RE: 13-Official Team 13 Thread
I'd like to shoot just one nice speed goat. I think they make for some of the nicest looking mounts. Awesome animals, too.
Have a killer weekend fellas. I'm off to deer camp for the annual "fishing trip" - which involvesnotmuchfishing anda whole lotof drinking. This year's theme is "old school weekend" - and I've got some MD 20/20 and Jacob's Best Ice waiting in the cooler. With any luck, I'll get all the post-bar-exam celebration out of my system so that I can return to normal. I guess I'll never be completely "normal..." but you get the idea. You guys rock. ![]() |
RE: 13-Official Team 13 Thread
Damn Fran going with the cheap booze.:DEven when I was poor I would still drink the good stuff.
I'm waiting for my daughters friend to get here so we can bail. There expecting 1-3" of snow tonight up there. I don't know how much shedding I'll get in but I"ll try and find some. Have a great weekend later. |

Hockey Gear for Sale: Gently used gloves, helmets, shin/elbow guards, sticks, pucks, balls, etc... Priced to sell.
Retirement imminent. Camping weekend went great - caught a couple trout, drank some beers, thenI beat it home to play in tonight's spring hockey season opener. With about 5:00 to go in the second period, I drove the net - and a brilliant beer league hockey career came to an abrupt and unforgiving end when my knee conveniently exploded. Okay, the career was less than "brilliant," but you get the idea. LMAO Here are 2 pics of the scene of the crime - after they cut all the gear off and loaded me onto the gurney. ![]() ![]() Note the patella- conveniently loaded on the SIDE of my left knee. It didn't hurt all that bad, but sounded like somebody was ripping the drumstick off of the thanksgiving turkey when it happened. I was down like barbaro - and when I felta big lump of bonesticking out the side - I knew it was trouble. More of a nauseous feeling than anything. Apparently, I was the first patient who ever requested somebody to go get his cell phone so that he could get a picture ofa hideous injurybefore everything went back into place. LOL Relocating the kneecap was a fun time, as you can probablyimagine. So now I'm here on the couch with my left leg on ice - elevated and immobilized. Apparently, i'm supposed to seek further medical treatment tomorrow, which I'm pretty stoked about. As it stands right now, I'm pretty fortunate that it wasn't worse. The MD on duty at the ER actually thinks that the injury was limited to my patellar tendon, and isn't nearly as bad as it looked (or felt). |

Fran Ouch[:@]
Is spring ever going to get here. Went up north 3 more inches of snow so no shed hunting for me. It is wet up there but we got some work done on the new food plots. We pulled a lot of small trees out and cleared the site. In all we got about 3 new acres to plant. |

RE: 13-Official Team 13 Thread
I'm sitting here at home now with a steak knife, a bloody towel and a whole bunch of gun parts strewn everywhere. I saw something neat on tv, so I figured I'd give it a shot.
![]() LOL Just kidding. Anyway, doc says no surgery needed, pending MRI results, but at least a month being immobilized in a brace, which is a major pain in the ass. There goes turkey season... [>:] |
