Diesel those are some nice bucks great pics thanks.

You would have to take three giant leaps up to reach "suck" in tryingdescribe todays PA opener. rain ,fog then allot of rain ,some more fog then it got to " suck".

Tomorrow will be better.

Thats awesome Jim!! Cant wait to see the pics. Tell your friend congrats! I saw some nice bucks today chasing Does. I saw 30+ deer in 2 hours, was an incredible day. The gun season doesnt seem to have bothered the deer on our property. I pulled my truck on the property, was standing in the bed of my truck changing, and had about 8 deer in a field with 2 bucks chasing a Doe and my presence didnt seem to bother them. I knew it was going to be a good afternoon.

Well fellas I'm back from the PA Gun season Early. Empty handed [&:]Monday was horiible for weather. But the Tree Umbrella was a hunt saver!! Kudos to the guy who invented that!.. Tuesday I saw 3 bucks (1 was a big spike) 1 was a barely legal?? 5pt..too close to call..so he walked. and 1 was a racked buck skirting the ridge, legal?? No idea ...! My cousin shot a 5 pt, in fact his shot scared the other 5 pt down the ridge right at me. I had him, just couldn't pull the trigger.

I came back early cuz my job is sending me to Canada Mon-Weds next week and couldn't be away from the family that long. Miss them little munchkins ..

Looks like I missed some big controversy of some kind. Still trying to sort out what happenend.

Jim did we get a score?? Mantis?? I'll be into late season here in a couple weeks. I'm not done yet. Man I've hunted my butt off..

Diesel I owe ya an e-mail once I get semi caught up..but preface itby saying..big Thanks!

Gr8 sorry no score yet. I've been having a tough time getting my friend home long enough to get in and put the tape to horn. I'm about ready to break in while he's out. (Deer head in friends freezer)

Yeah some bad eggs trying to stir the pot poor Rob would've smacked em up if it were face to face it was that bad. He's the man though, CUDO'S ROB!

Seems as though next year I may not get the luxury of shooting a deer and saving it till the end of season case I don't score bigger. Really though everyone knows I get one bow tag and I posted the pics as soon as I got home with him. Again sorry I cant get a tape on him it's not all my fault. Life is crazy these days. Poor guy got six shots in his legs today. He didn't seem to like it all that much. In fact a split second after the firstprickhepretty much acted likethe trouple makers on this site

Guys, don't give up on me just yet, I have been trying my best, just nothing to show for it yet. I think this is the first I have been on here in 3 weeks, I have just had that much going on.

Congrats Jim on the buck, that is one big bodied bruiser.

I hunted quite a bit the last 3 weeks, with a lot of deer sightings and a couple of decent, mature bucks. I sat 4 times all day, most of the time I saw deer consistently. There was one day, during an all day hunt,I didn't see a deer, and I felt that was my best setup the entire time. That made for a long day, but hey, that's hunting. I did go out a couple of times with my rifle. The day after thanksgiving I saw 125" 8 pointer standing in front of one of my bow stands for about 10-15 minutes. Not real sure if I would have shot him with my bow or not, but I let him walk with the rifle in my hand. Another day I saw a pretty mature buck that had 5 on one side and 3 on the other. If he would have matched up I would have probably taken him. He wasn't a monster, but he was a mature older deer. I have video of this buck, I will share with you all at the bottom of this post. All in all, I had a really good time. I got to spend a lot of good time with my dad, brother, and cousins. I got to watch my cousin, 33 yrs old, shoot his first deer. That was pretty exciting. There was really too much too mention in this little box.

Sorry I can't keep you all posted more often, but when i go back home to hunt, access to a computer is very limited. Next year, once our house is built, it will be a different story.

I still have until the end of December to get one on the ground. I will try my best, there is about 2 weeks within that time frame that I can hunt, so I will keep you all posted.

Here is a link to the short video I shot of the 8 point on Thanksgiving day. He came within 40 yards: http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v480/broncho10/Videos/?action=view&current=MVI_0033.flv
