C'mon down!! If you get here before Sat at noon you can do some dove hunting with me lol. Stop by andpick upRob on the way. Where I dove hunt is only 30 minutes from Cumberland. Im sure Rob can do some wing shooting while sitting. Heck we can even drive him right to his spot and dump him off with a recliner,no walking necessary!

Hey guys I'm leaving in the morning for four days of goose hunting with some dove shooting thrown in for sport.
Nothing new in the woods ,I will move my "neighbor cam" for the weekend and maybe next week I'll have something better to post.
After cleaning out Vegas I'll leave the captain to keep us on top.
You guys all have a great one ,Jim

Congrats Gr8. I have never won anything in Vegas. However, it is always a good time people watching.
The small acorn crop should help the midwest. With the huge stands of red and white oak around here acorns mean no deer movement. They bed down wherever they want and don't even have to get up to eat.

Hey guys, thanks for all the b-day wishes, I have been busy lately and haven't had a whole lot of time to get on here. I did have a pretty good birthday, nothing special, just worked and came home to my favorite meal (chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, and gravy) and relaxed.
I didn't realize that MD had deer like that, I am very impressed.I am in the same boat as Gr8, I have never seen or heard of that buck, that thing has to set some records or be at the top.
Congrats on the good fortune Gr8, hope you can carry that luck over into the season.
Well, I won't bore you all with a lot of details, but I am in the process of moving and having my work schedule changed. I moved to SE Okla. 2 years ago b/c of my job. Now they have switched me to a 14 days on, 14 days off rotation, as opposed to the regular Monday thru Friday. That allows the wife and I to move back closer to the central part of the state, where we are both from. So now.....we are looking for a house and will be moving before the end of the year. Rest assured, I will definately get my time in on the stand and still make my hunt that I drew in for. This has its adv. and disadv.......advantages: I will have 14 days off to hunt, scout, whatever I please, and be able to live closer to home where my hunting grounds are. Disadvantages: I will be busy looking at houses and moving, the days I will be working might be prime time, and I won't be able to hunt while I am working.
So......bear with me guys, there might be times when I won't get on here as much as usual b/cI have a lot on my plate right now. But likeI said earlier, I WILL find time to get in the stand.

Good luck Jim and you too Millertime on the move. Man did the board crash yesterday or was that sheduled maintenance? I had a long reply to something hit submit and that was the end of it! I hate when that happens.
Anyones season start tomorrow?? We got till Sept 29th..but I may go chase a Squirrel or just head to the rifle range for some practice with inline and let the boy shoot the 6mm..and .22 and what-ever else he wants.

Just finished packing the truck ,I got the neighbor cam moved this morning.
Last night my wife was picking peppers and onions to make tomato sauce over the weekend when she thought some one was watching her.
I had the dog with me and got held up at a blood drive and so she was alone. As she loaded the gator with the veggies she looked down the woods line and that damn bear thats been trashing my corn was sitting on his azz watching her ,just waiting for her to leave so he couldget back to eating more of my corn. She chased him across the field with the gator so with luck I will have some corn left for the deer & turkeys this winter.
Good luck to all and have a great Holiday, Jim

Firemedic your acorn crop is poor too? We've been on a bad run lately in these parts for 3 years or so. Gotta be the dry heat??
Millertime don't worry about getting on line..we know you're out there. Hopefully once the season gets kicking everyone will be in to report..sightings, and such. That's what makes this crazy contest fun.
Have a safe Labor day all..I'll check in from time to time. Just to bump us up!
Diesel..I'm gonna shoot you a PM of my personal #'s and email..just in case you are trying to get hold of me when I'm not online at work.
