Happy Birthday Millertime 10, hope you have a good one!

You think you got your hands full now Mantis, wait till he's born :D. Is this your First?

Jim you diden't loose your neighbor on the way in did ya, looked like he was ready to go overboard.

Diesel we have the same problem, Season opens Oct 1 and thats right when their changing from summer to fall feeding paterns, plus we get over run with downstaters the first 2 weeks of season, I dont get to excited till they have broken out of their Bachelor groups and start running their rub and scrape lines around the end of Oct.

Guy's, I think I have solved the problem of the Space Shuttles Heat tiles poping off! The last time I used the Drift Boat, I had parked it under a pine tree in the yard, well yesterday morning I went out to get it ready for a day on the River, and it had Pine Sap all over it. Took me two hours with a pocket knife and Goo be Gone, and by the time I was done I had that crap all over me!
Will check in later to see whats going on, and try to keep us on the first page.

Haha Silver, I had acar sitting outside of a buddys chassis shop waiting for them to put in a roll cage. They moved my car under a pine tree, sat there for 3 weeks. Needless to say it took me days to get all the sap off, was hideous.

ive been busy lately, but not really with hunting stuff. i stay completely out of my hunting area for atleast 2 weeks before the opener which is sept 1st.

i gotta agree with the real early season statement. i think thats my best chance at getting a crack at one of these big boys ive been watchin ina bachelor group. once october hits, im goin to try my best to find a white oak patch that i can hunt in my climber over, i know that these places are honey hole that time of year, just never been succesful in finding one, but new land this year so maybe it will work out.

so my schedule will be as follows unlessi tag out obviously

september- summer feeding patterns; bachelor groups
october- white oak patch; travel corridors
november- hunt where the does are probably over travel corridors again
december- hunt over any leftover food sources
january- if im still out hunting, it will be over food sources, but january is duck hunting time.

Sorry guys...I left my laptop at the firehouse while I was off for 4 days. I've been having Internet withdrawl symptoms. Checked out the new property on Sunday. Looks like I've got access to a travel corridor. The timber was cut last year so there are still a lot of tree tops around, but the deer have a couple of trails beat down through there. Put the camera out with some corn and I'll probably check it this coming weekend. I checked another area Monday that I hunted last year and it looks HOT!! I don't know if there are big bucks around but definately a bunch of deer. It is a wooded creek bottom about 80 yards wide that runs from big woods to crop fields. One side of the finger is planted in soy beans and the other in milo. The deer have literally tilled the ground in there.

Sweet, man you must be real anxious to get set up in this spot Firemed. Nothing like the anticipation of hunting a new and promising location, makes it even more of a rush sitting in the stand.

lets see the pics diesel, i love seeing them.....ive got a wildview camera in the mail comin my way right now. i heard they are the best camera for the money...and even if i heard wrong im only out 100 bucks rather than 400. My friend over from western ky has about 10 or 12 trail cams and after sampling alot of them, he said this is his favorite camera and by far the best you can get for the money.

too late to put it up in my hunting area, but i figured id stick it up on one of my other hunting spots, just to get some inseason scouting, see whats there when im not lol. probably will just make me pissed off i wasnt hunting there, but owell.

what kind of cameras you usin D?
