P&Ybuckhunter:the camera is a Leaf River infrared. All the pictures are basically black and white.Sometimes on sunny days with the rays hitting just right you can see a shade of brown on the deer.It sure is nice to see this buck on its feet at 1500.I've got shots of it at 1130 hrs. also.Actually I've this deer on camera at all different times of the day.

If you look over the deers rump you can see the rack of another buck.

I missed that the first time. That looks to be a very nice buck as well. Can't really tell from the pic but he looks to be a bit wider.

Did you guys see the shirts they are making for the contest? Looks to be pretty cool especially if they can add the team logo as well as the team member names on it.

Nice Avatar. I ordered two shirts while I was at it, one for me and one for PyBuckHunter (got ya covered cheapo). Hopefully I can show it off behind a tall tined buck.

Well we were up north this weekend and got a few photos off the camera's but no shooters....yet. The next time I check them they will have been up there for 4 weeks, so I hope we have some shooters.

What styleshirts did you pick? I thinkI am going to order a couple this weekend. I asked the old lady if she wanted the Team Buck Wild thong that was down below the shirts, she just rolled her eyes and sighed. I'm pretty sure that meant no.

Here is a link frompg 6to elkslayer338's site if you want a shirt with our team logo.

http://www.cafepress.com/elkslayer/2573961

Just click on our logo and it will bring up the shirts and stuff.

I saw the thread for the contest shirts. They look good too.

Those infrared pics are good. Does that eliminate the flash? It looks like you got some contenders there, good luck with those guys. When does your season open in CT?

rutt 08-23-2007 03:14 PM

RE: 14- Official Team 14 Thread

New;yes it does eliminate the flash, though that wasn't a concern of mine when I purchased the camera.I wanted it for the ability to shoot video clips at night. My season opens on Sept. 15th.This spot looks to be a great bottle neck.

RE: 14- Official Team 14 Thread

In reply to what type of shirts I ordered. I ordered two white short sleeve one's, just the cheaper type. After thinking about it, probably should have went with a darker color. I think darker would go better with our logo but no big deal.

I plan on keeping it scent free and wearing under my camo for good luck.

Also, can'tbelieve your wife wouldn't want a pair of panties with our team logo on them!?

Going out this week to find some good white oaks to hang a couple stands. Already got one area in mind, I'll check my cameras while I'm out there, and move them to the outer fringes. After this week I won't be in the woods until the opener. 19 days to go!
See there are a couple teams on the board already.

got permission yesterday to hunt 13thou acres of land managed for 3.5yr old bucks or older. I'm pshcyed out of 6 hunters last yr they killed 6bucks the smallest a 9pt scoring 123" should be a awesome spot to hunt. I scouted it out tonight and saw 11bucks 5bucks easily over the 130" range and 4 8pts in the 110"-125" so hopefully it will work out this year.

Deerslayer223. good luck to you as well.....that many acres with very little pressure has to produce some very nice bucks.

Slayer, that sounds awesome. Good Luck to you. Put one of those big guys down. With that many big bucks running around and 13k acres, sounds as close to a slam dunk as you can get. Shoot straight and congrats.

i wish i has that much land to hunt, i only have 1 acre of woods. Only good thing about small areas are that they are overlooked and if a deer comes into the woods, I know

Went to my deer camp spotlighting tonight saw 8 bucks smallest was a 6pt 5 of them were huge its really looking up there to. At my deer camp we lease 368acres with alota huge bucks running around its absolutely impossible 2 pattern them though due to all the surrounding land and us having 250acres of field. This year really looks awesome for me fella's the best it ever has. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Good morning. My youngest boy started first grade this morning, thank god. This Saturday is the North Carolina Bow Opener, so I plan on hunting (probably just the afternoon) but I will be there. The place I am hunting likes for you to kill a doe before a buck but it is not mandatory this year so we will see. It's been a little hectic around the house with the boys going back to school and on top of that I am trying to finish rebuilding the front end of my '97 F-150 and my sisters '00Explorer. I had just about finished my truck and my sister was like "The service station said I need new ball joints." So being a good brother I said "Hey, I can do that for you and it will save you a bunch of money." Well I wishI could go back in time and un-say that because on her model you can't replace the ball joints, I have to replace both lower control arms, both upper control arms. new shocks, and an alignment, AWESOME, Ialmost finished the driver side,I just hope to get it done soon or by lunch on Saturday at the latest. Anyway just thought I would gripe about it here.

New I know what you are going through. My oldest started preschool last week and the baby has been sick and now my wife is sick as well. Been trying to finish up some projects around the house before season opens to keep the wife from nagging too much. My season doesn't open until Oct 1 so I have a little time left. I have been making time to shoot at least a couple of arrows a day. Good luck to you this afternoon.

Yeah, I'm in my second week of college and once again realized how much I hate school. I've been busying with school and still working 40 hours a week, trying to bank some money so I can take some time off at the end of October and first part of November. 27 more days for me and I can't wait.

Hey guys..........Sorry I have been out for awhile. Tried to get on the last couple days and it seems there was some website problems but they look fixed now.

Going to check cameras this weekend and I hope I have some shooters to show you guys. 10 days until the opener................

Just got two rolls of film back from the cameras. Nothing worth shooting, did get a couple more different 2 year olds. I think I'm up to 13 different 2 year olds on the one property we hunt. Looking good for next year. Been told by a couple guys that live around the area that there is a big one running around. I would think 3 cameras on 60 acres, Ishould get an image of him sometime. Have not had my cameras out on my 80 acre lease, I have to go thru a big corn field to get to it, so I'll wait till I hunt it.
New, good luck to you this weekend.
