I'm ready to carry a rifle for Pa. and save the bow kill for a higher scoring buck in illinios.I haven't seen a shooter here yet .Found a dozen dead deer from the bugs in late august ,my buddy found a 10pt. that scored 160''.I thinkthebugskilled 50% of the deer in that area. Good luck to all.

Guys, I'm tellin ya.....We got a legitimate shot at this thing.....We're by no means in the top 5 right now, but we've got a few of us still hitting it hard, and I'm expecting 1 or 2 more bucks to fall before this is over....

Way to go team, 3 bucks entered thus far. That's 3 more than my previous 2 teams....COMBINED!

Oh yeah, I'll be out some. I've killed a buck and doe this year, so I'm not too all fired up about sitting long hours in the cold anymore this year, but I'm still gonna go. I also get really busy at work this time of year, couple that w/ getting dark at 5...doesn't leave much time....

Wonder how some of the other guys are doing? Haven't heard from a few of them in quite a while....Good luck to all.

Hey guys-I just got back last night and sorry to report I did not score. I had a great hunt-the weather was tough-cold, ice, snow. One morning right after daylight-in a ground blind-I had a 150 inch 10 pointer come by at 12 yards. A chip shot-after the shot-he goes 10 yards, stands there and looks at me. I couldn't see the arrow flight and knew it should have hit him. So I take another shot with many deflections in the way-he runs off though an open field-tail waving by. I check tracks-no blood-no hair. I couldn't figure out what happened! I go back to ground blind to gather my stuff and I notice a small twig 10 feet in front of me-dangling in the wind. After inspecition-I could see it was clearly cut except bark on bottom side. The arrow must have shot straight up in space. I was sick for the rest of the day. The next day, I passed up a 115 inch 8 point. and an hour later, had a good 140 inch buck at 40 yards when he suddenly turns and walks away. I drew but did not like the shot. I saw many goodbucks on this hunt. The deer were moving good, with lots of rutting activity. I am pulling the plug on the season-unfortunatly.It had to be one of the best seasons I've had with out a score. If you guys ever need anything call me. Good Luck to all. Chuck

Well guys, we gave it a good run. There's a couple of us that we haven't heard from ina while, but I think we're gonna throw in the towel. This team had more points than my previous 3 combined, so it wasn't a loss by any means. I had a great time w/ you guys this fall, and hope to see ya'll on the boards and again for next year's contest.
