Headed out for the opener (Oct. 1). I haven't hunted opening day in years. I have stuck to my end of Oct and the second week of November for years. We will see how it goes in this new spot. It's been 7 years since I have hunted in the woods and not on the field edges.

I will be going out in the morning for opening day. I will also be out in the evening and Sunday morning. I will be hunting a spot in the morning where I havent really hunted before. I have only hunted the property once before and done a ton of scouting for two years. In Febuary while shed hunting my brother in law and I saw a heard of atleast 75 deer. I know I will see deer but I will wait on the right buck since it is so early. I am a big November guy, I take the first full week of November off every year. During that time I hunt my butt off. I may CRUSH a doe tomorrow but you never know. I am excited about the evening hunt because I will be on my favorite property with a ton of potential. I will let you guys know how it will go sometime in the afternoon on the morning hunt and later in the evening for the evening hunt. Hunt hard, hunt often....good luck fellas!

Sorry 'bout that Paddles but, unfortunately, this kind of thing happens in the hunting world. I have stood many times to see a white flag pop off 100 yards out........

Good Luck Y'all

I didn't see a dang thing, was too hot I think. that and i was shushing my nephews most of the time. But they had a blast, so it was a good time either way. My youngest nephew found a chunk of wood he thought was cool enough for show n tell this week

Good to hear you all are seeing deer. My opener isn't till the 15th (Oct). Keep up the good work.

Nice work on passing it on Buck Slayer. If you don't show em while their young they may never get into it.
