Atleast someone is hunting.I'm so ready.
I still have 2 stands to get up. I'm behind this year b/c of the large number of guys that needed help tuning bows and needing arrows. My fingers hurt!
I'll get them up on Sunday. Then I got to get my camo washed.
But , I'm ready to do some tree time.

I forgot I should be on vacation from Oct.29 thru Nov.14th.I'll take a couple days off and hunt just evenings thru the 18th,then back to all day hunts the 19th thru the 21st.If I don't find a good one before hand.I wanted to hunt hard early in the rut and hard at the end.My records show that good buck activity normally has slowed for me from the 11th on untill around the 20th.

Hey guys im back (thanks for the help Geno)

Heres an update on how my seasons going. I put up two ladder stands for the first morning. On the way out, I spotted a small-racked 6 point (would score around 50") headed towards on of the stand locations. It may have had a small rack, but it sure as heck had a HUGE body. Im not sure what he had been eating, but Id guess his weight at around 200#.

There was also a large rub on the trail right in front of my stand, It might have been made by that small 6, but hopefully it was made by a larger 6 -8 point I had seen last year.

In short, things are looking promising for the first day (knock on wood)

Lets hearsome otherpreseason/season stories.

Also lets see some pix of you hunting spots. Ill try to remember to bring my digital next time I head out to one of my stands.
