I am checkin in-N.E. Iowa. My 3rd year in the contest & yet to enter a Buck for my team BUT I have passed at least 30 within 20 yards so, IF I take one, It should be decent.
Start of my 51st year so I better get er done this year. Our season opens Oct. 1st.

This will be my second year in the contest, I chipped in 50" last year to the team. I would really like to double that this year:D. I just found out yesterday that I was drawn for the Shiawassee refuge hunt. I am pretty excited, they draw 80 hunters (on a priority point system) and there are about a 1000 applicants for this slot. There are some really nice bucks in there and I would really like to tag one for the team! There is a doe only hunt the week before my hunt (100) hunters and I will be there from Nov. 1st to the 5th, about perfect for pre-rut. The refuge is about 10,000 acres.

Well enough about that, our season is Oct. 1 to Jan. 1 with a couple of weeks off for gun season (Nov.15th - 30th). I will hunt about 70 days either morning, night or both. I hunt 80 acres private land right behind my house and have seen several P&Y bucks, but never connected. I had a dandy at 13yds, but quartering to so I had to pass. I alsotake a late season (December) hunt to the U.P. Got a trip planned for Houston county MN, but that is next year:(:(

I am 35yrs old, been bow hunting since I was 12,married to a very understanding wife and have 3 kids- Hunter 9, Garhet 7, and Hailee 1. I am very lucky to have a wife that lets me hunt whenever I get a chance, takes great care of the kids and lets me spend too much $$ on hunting.

Alright, well we have3 that have checked in so far.

I will be spending most of my season this year hunting public land in central IL. I hunted the same land last year and passed on several real nice bucks. I won't be passing on them this year. The rest of the season will be spent hunting 500 acres of private property in northern West Virginia. Either location is more then capable of producing 150+ class bucks.

Anyone have any suggestions for a team name or captain?

I have been doing great. Was in WV last weekend putting out all my camera's and getting ready. And spending the rest of the time practicing with my daughter. Soon as she is strong enough to pull 30lbs. she will be more then ready. She is shooting great for 7 years old.

No problem. Just glad to hear he is still around. What is it going to be like at your household when your younger brothers team kicks your ass???
