I am in excellent shape this year. I have been shooting every few days for the last 2 months. I have new bow this year and it is awsome!! Bring on October 1st!
What did you upgrade from? I went from a Q2XL to the Drenalin, I didn't think I would see a whole lot of difference from five years, but WOW it seemed like I was shooting a stick and string compared to the Drenalin.
I am very happy with everything so far and can't wait to give it a field test. I shot a winter league and was very pleased with everything.

The big changes from the old bow were- speed from 241fps (29in,70#, 418g) up to 296fps. Shock- I put an STS system on this bow and it almost seems to shoot itself. I like the draw better on this bow too. It really does seem to be a shooter though which is its best quality.

Randy from South Dakota checking in, sorry it took so long. I'm already getting ready for hunting in the Big Horn mountains on Sept first. A couple of years ago I got a 6x5 28" wide muley there and last year I missed a 7x7 but he wasn't very wide. Hopefully I can get us on the board early. I'm hunting public land so it's tough hunting. Go team 27!

Well fellas-I qualified for the special Doe Hunt 2 weeks b/4 regular season in our city limits.
My gear is a Darton single cam, 60#s. 29" Easton 2216s tipped with a 3 blade 125gr Rocky Mountain Ironhead. My other bow is also a Darton 70# & I have a Carrol Take Down stick bow, 62", 60#s I have not used for many years. The Dartons have taken Whitetail, MuleDeer, Elk, Buffalo, Caribou, Wild Hogs, Rams, Black Bear & a few others. Set up has always been about the same.
Hopefully, I will take a decent Buck for our team this year.
Regular season starts Oct. 1st.

Welcome to the team Randy! That is a sweet looking mulley. I will be in the woods on Sept 1st also. Hopefully we can put about 300 inches on the board for Team Bucks, Bows & Bros.

This is my first year of bow hunting and I hope to score big this up coming season. My gear and my first bow is a 2005 Fred Bear obsession That is set at 55lbs and 27in. Some of the gear on the bow is a NAP 2000 drop away rest, gold tip arrows, and a cobra boomslang sight. MY season starts at the end of sept. and runs intil Jan.

I love seeing young hunters like you, hick442, getting excited about hunting. You are the future of this sport. Without you PETA and those idiots will eventually shut hunting down. Hick442, keep practicing and keep the tradition alive.

randyshunting- glad that you finally made it. As you can see where are all excited and ready to go. That is a great looking picture. Be sure to come back to our team thread often and update us on how you are doing. As you can see from the posts we have a great group of guys and everyone contributes.

Good luck on your upcoming Big Horn Mountains hunt!

Fraley- I didn't take my PSE with me that day. I have it sitting at home if you know anyone that is in need of a good starter bow. It is only a year old and is in excellent shape. I can bring it up this weekend if you want. Let me know what the plans are for Saturday also. My 8 year old will be with me but if you want to shoot for awhile in the morning she will join us before going over to Bass Pro.
