out hunting and got dropped from a team last year, [:@]:(for not checking in, here is the buck i got.
My first WT racked buck with a bow previous and only other was 44 years before that.
main frame 10 pointer, 14 total. shot it on friend's land in SE Oklahoma hunted hard for a week. arrowed first turkey day before

WOW we have to be the least talkative team . well nearly 1 AM and just got trailer loaded for my 3500+ mile trip we be heading out probably about noon. 465 miles to TOK and will take 4 days to get to alberta 2130 miles to my B-I-L and will be deer hunting there for wt. not sure when i will be able to get on line for sure about 10-11 when i get to my daughters in denver. good luck team mates get some nice deer.

Good luck to both you guys on your hunts, bring back some pics if nothing else...

I had a great dove hunt Sat on my farm. My brother came over from VA, our last dove hunt together was ~25 yrs ago. A few other of my fellow hunter safety instructors rounded out the effort, with one young newbie in tow. I've been planting wildlife fields, and still have 4 more to go. I hope to knock those out by this week.Two more dove hunts, and then shifting gears with our bow opener 15 Sept. Here are a few pics from yesterday:

When my brother over from VA to dove hunt, I asked him to bring a mounted 10 pt buck I shot in '93 so I could get some pics-- the agreement was if he mounted it, he could hang it.
My general bow hunting goal is to try to get a buck that would rank in my top three, the bar is set pretty high now...

WELL I HAVE BEEN DELAYED ON MY TRIP SOUTH AND PROBABLY WON'T HUNT ALBERTA ON THE TRIP SOUTH. AND WILL JUST HUNT IN NOV ON THE WAY NORTH. GOT 25 MILES FROM HOME HAD TWO FLATS ON THE TRAILER FAIRLY NEW TRAILER AND GOOD TIRES THEN NEW SPARE WAS WRONG BOLT PATTERN. MY SON CAME TO RESCUE AND POPPED TIRES OFF WHEELS AND POPPED TIRES OFF WRONG WHEELS AND PUT OTHERS ON THOSE WHEELS. BUT WITH NO SPARES I RETURNED HOME AND WILL LEAVETUESDAY .....NOT LIKELY TO FIND ODD WHEELS AND TIRES ON LABOR DAY[:'(][:@]

Great looking mounts, I hope you reach your goal this year that would be awesome. Looks like you had a great time dove hunting, haven't hunted doves since I was a kid. All I remember isburning through a box of shells very quickly and not having much to show for it.[8D]

AK sorry to hear about your troubles, hope you get things sorted out and back on track soon.

Well, we hung 3 stands today and I need to replace thecables on another and will hang that one later this week. The property I hunt has a small food plot of soy beans and corn and bothshow signs of heavy brows. Hopefully I will get a shot at a decent buck when the season roles around. I have some game cameras out, and am anxious to see what the pictures will show.

Well have to help the kids with some last minute homework.

10 days till opening day for me! Cant wait it's winding down quick. Just went out and was finally getting some of my broadhead tuningdone and dropped off 75 pounds of corn in my little spot so I can get my 2 doe out of the way and hunt for some bigguns!

Hey guys, no deer yet here for me. Moved back to university now so won't have much time left to hunt this fall. Got some good pics and video of bucks but just nothin i really felt like lowerin the boom on. Got my elk back home last thursday, spike bull pretty bambish but will be nice to eat. Headed to idahothis thursday for a week long elk hunt to that should be a great experience for me. Maybe get out after whitetail around thanksgiving(oct 8th or so)

hi guys well finally made it to colorado. took 9days usually 5...2 flats on trailer one ruined tire and blew up intercooler for turbo on truck , luckily still on warrenty. nearly got p&y antelope buck today......with my f-350:eek:because of problems on the trip i did not hunt in Alberta.....will hunt there in Nov, hunting will be better then anyway.

WOOD BISON ALONG ALCAN HWY IN YUKON FROM OUR TRIP DOWN.

BEAVER CROSSED ROAD INFRONT OF US IN ALASKA, I GOT OUT TO SEE IF I COULD GET A PHOTO. IT WAS CHEWING ON WILLOW AND CAME BACK ON ROAD. I HAD TO GET OUT OF IT'S WAY. IT WAS WITHIN 5-6 FEET OF ME.

Morning, talked with my Nephew last night. he has obtained permission for me to hunt on some land that has not been hunted on for a number of years. while there buying hay and asking permission had 6-7 bucks come out into field fairly close that could care less they were there.
he and his dad used to hunt that area with rifles and took 180+ mulies off that property. biggest deer he has ever seen was there.
So i'm pumped and will drive down there from Denver tomorrow. if i put in time i should have a chance at a nice buck.
also if i fill my tag early he says i should get an otc elk archery tag he has been seeing some every night in this one area, he has been hunting.
progress report when i return to Denver.

Man, good luck in your hunt sounds like you are in for a treat. Please keep us posted.

Had a little trouble with the bow the other day, developed a crack in my lower limb. [:@]Don't really know what caused it, but have anew set of limbson the way, no charge:D. Should be here by Friday or Monday at the latest, so everything should be back to normal by our opener on the 29th.

good luck on the bow, I hate last minute snafu's, but better now than during the season... what bow brand are you using out of curiosity?

I had another dove hunt over my sunflower field yesterday, and plan a dove dinner tomorrow night: dove stuffed with wild rice and wrapped in bacon, ummmm!!

I must admit I started to panic a bit but my dealer and Bowtech are standing behind it 100%. :)

I know people like to jump on the "bash" bandwagon on limb problems but I'm not one of them. I really love my 2006 Allegience and I would not hesitate to buy another one.

Your dove dinner sounds great, I'll be down save me some.:D

I just returned from Elk hunt and no luck. I maybe seen 1 cow elk as I was taking down stand. No bugling and very few elk where moving. Seen a black bear and got it on video. I will try and post video later. Alot of big mulies just no elk. Waldo

Heading out for opening day, this Saturday Sept. 15th. Got the clothes washed with Dead Down Wind, air dried outside and stored in plastic bags. Withsome luck and a straight arrow, I hope to get the team on the board!

I got in the stand early this morning, not a thing moving except for a gang of turkeys -neat as I used my mouth to whistle and get the brood hen riled up over the "lost poult".

This afternoon, saw 2 bucks and 10 does. One 1 1/2 yr doe gave me a nice close, quartering-away shot, she's chilling down in my walk-in cooler now.

Well, no bucks over opening weekend. I passed on a young nine pointer, will be a nice one next year. I did however fill my doe tag. Going to try it again next weekend, still plenty of season left. Good luck to everyone who will be going out this coming weekend.

I am having trouble adding a picture to my post. The site tells me that the file is to large. If someone would help me with what I am doing wrong, I will post the pic.
