Your right Dave. I'm glad they moved it to 10/20. It's worth it to wait 1 more week for temps to drop and hunt the pre-rut.
Mike, I've never used those but I've heard good things about them. My brother in lawuses them and likes them.
Mark, its always good to see deer. Sound like the perfect spot when the rut kicks in.
Brad, I think you made the right choice. Better to take caution now and keep the bucks in your area then hunt longer one evening and lose a good buck with the rut around the corner. Also, you can talk about my momma all you want if you land that 130 for our team. LOL
Nathan, bring him home big guy. 2 days left!!!

Your 1st day looks like mine did. There's still plenty of time for that to change though.
I'm excited about tomorrow's weather. High of 49 in the morning with the wind out of the West. The stand I'm hunting should ahve thedeer come from the west out of the field. plus, it's supposed to rain tonight whgich should allow me to sneak in there.Wind will be 12-13 mph but I'm ok with that. the palce isdown a hillthat willbe slightly protected from the wind.
I bought the steps that are sold at Dicks' for $40 and they are pretty good. Definitely better than spending $100 for the same thing with a brand name on them.

Brad,
That's great news.I need to start finding someone with private land for next year. Hopefully, someone that will not require a lease.
