I normally try to shoot at least a 3.5, i dont always get it done with a bow, sometimes with a gun. but this year was different, the herd #'s were way way down from EHD, the big boys took the hard hit, so i made it a fun year and took a decent 2.5 year old with a very symetrical rack, he would have been a dandy in two more years. Just have fun while you guys are still at it, its a justfor fun contest, shoot what makes you happy :)and good luck guys!!

well guys, i passed up on a small buck on friday. Then saturday saw nothing except a red fox while i was putting in a water deicer for my sheep, ran to get the gun but by the time i got back outside he was gone.[&o]He was walking only about 75 yards from the sheep pen totally oblivious to me and the dogs. Still got from the day after christmas til Jan 12th to hunt though, good luck everyone that is still hunting.

P.S.-Wont be posting this weekend because i am going to florida for 4 days of vacation:DHave fun guys.

Forgot to tell you guys that i have become an uncle since 10:04pm last tuesday:D. Have fun and wear your safety harnesses while in a treestand[8D]

I had the last 2 days off work, because of the icestorm that went through the area. It's caused more destruction that I've ever seen this county experience in my life! Probably 90% of my tree's have 50% or more damage. Looks literallylike a tornado went through, but without damage to buildings. I'll be planting a lot of new windbreaks this Spring. Still out of power since Monday.

But I was able to go out bow hunting yesterday, but it was pretty tough with all the ice. Saw a little buck and 3 doe's. Checked the game cameras that Iput outout last Friday Evening, and had lots of deer pictures.8 different bucks in 5 days(3 shooters).They're definately herding up for the winter in the same spot they always do.Hopefully the ice willhave a chance to melt soon. I'll be out there again this weekend.

Hey guys just checking in.. Have not been on in a while.. Hunted hard for 2 weeks.. Upstate ny and pa, not a thing. Saw only young deer and doe.. Will be going on again on the 26th when bow opens back up. Wish me luck..

Kansas, i hate hearing about all the ice storm damage, it takes awhile to recoupe on the trees. good luck to everyone!!!!
