Yes, a buddy of mine got him on video right before season started. He was seen a couple of times during season, but never close enough to shoot.

i tend to agree with the age an not restrictions but your not gonna tell a 67 year old man anything new... hes gonnna run it the way he sees fit an be a stubborn ol man about it.. lol.... cant argue with him though. lol

I agree on harvesting by age and not antlers. The deer in the picture is small but he is just a yearling. I have seen spikes grow into enormous deer. Now if you seen a 3.5 year old buck sporting 4 points ya I would get him out of the herd. But I am just a kentucky hunter. People here dont even care how big it is, their motto is "if its brown its down" lol

Jenna hit the nail on the head in regards to age not antlers. My buddy works on a high fence preserve and while it's not my cup of tea as far as the hunting goes, I have learned alot about antler development and age. I was taught by the guy who got me started deer hunting that every spike should be taken out because it will never grow into anything else. Nothing could be farther from the truth. I have seen bucks on that preserve start as spikes and end up as giant B&C deer. If they haven't grown into what you are looking for by the age of three, potential wise, than they should be removed from the heard. Before that, it is hard to say what they will become.

I would shoot a hoyt butI dont have that kind of money to spend on a bow. My browning shoots pretty good and I am pleased with it. Whenever I get tired of it though I have a guy who is wanting to sell me a Hoyt protec for $350, are those any good?
