Jeff, Good Luck bud! So whats your game plan? You after you're buck you have on camera or you shooting first good buck that comes by? Just curious.. How many buck tags do you get.. I have 2 Idaho tags this year, I spent the extra and bought an additional non res tag..

Game plan:

Lay down EVERY nanny that is either out of spots.....or doesn't have one in spots in tow.

That's it.

I have my eyes on 2 bucks that I saw on game cam. I'm hoping there are other "targets".....but they'll be secondary to the job I know I have to do (herd reduction). Season game plan is to work on herd reduction until I get to a certain point (hopefully by 11/8).....and then hunt the way I want to hunt from that point, forward.

I know where I'll be in the morning. I have as good a chance as I've ever had in that spot (it's the tree I took my '06 8-pointer from....and where I took some scouting photos back in June). I'll be within 150yds of my honey hole, tomorrow afternoon......and that's where I spotted the buck I'm after on day 3 of last season (when I blew the opportunity).

I'm looking forward to having a little time with the man upstairs......enjoying the scenery....and possibly having a shooting opportunity. I've also asked my wife out on a date, tomorrow night. I can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to the whole day/night. She'll be taking me down the road to my entry point tomorrow morning at 4:30AM......and she's already e-mailed me today.....saying she'd like to help me track if I'm successful, tomorrow.

My heart is full, guys.;)

Them work e-mails from the wife are great huh..I got a few myself today, but none mentioned tracking or dragging..lol ;)

Sounds great! You'll be filling the freezer I am sure....... and donating extra does??? by chance... Have a great hunting/weekend, be safe in the standand have a nice time on the date with your wife. Also? is your son bowhunting with you by chance?

I'm taking this evening to hang with the Family as well. I'll be back at it in the A.M. We've got our new deck addition about finished along with thepole barn to wrap in metal then I'll be able to chill on the house projects for the fall. :)

Gary, I can't imagine, August 30th never comes soon enough for me... like I said the other day, I am looking forward to when everyone on the chaos team is out getting after it..

Alright we add another hunter tomorrow morning. Then I start in a week from tomorrow. We should be getting on the board soon. Our odds are getting better.

I just don't know if I can wait that long. I think I liked it better when Troy didn't update us every day. Now I have to read all about it, and can't go myself.

Hows your huntin going Rob? Seeing anything besides the one in the driveway?

Mr. P - best luck this weekend buddy. Don't burn yourself out (as if that's even possible...haha). So whatya think - is it gonna be Penn State or ND tomorrow? Take an evening off and watch the game (or Tivo it) - the atmosphere at the Beav will beOFF THE HOOKbro. I tried trading myleft kidney and my stem cells for tickets... No takers. LMAO. I'll be glued to the big screen with a steaming pizza, a cold Blue Moon, and #33jersey in effect. A big win could vault the Lions into the top 10 - and a big loss could be...well...a total disaster.

Bizarre news: Big EHD outbreak near one of my hunting areas. Supposedly it'sspread by biting midges -pretty widespread - really hammering localized deer herds. Started out as a report of 50 dead. Now they're saying thousands. I'm still seeing deer everytime I scout - and finding no dead ones... So I'm thinking it's just hysteria among the masses... At least that's what I'm hoping... Either way - bring on the cold weather!

Jeff - good luck man. Maybe you'll surprise yourself and see a good buck. Either way, it's time out of the henhouse and in the woods.
