Shot my Slick Tricks last night and they are right on out to 40 yards. Always a confidence booster to know that your broadheads are flying true. Still waiting for the Triton XLs to come in from Cabela's but should be any day now. Dove season is fast approaching so that is going to be the first order of business next week! Need to get some wild game on the table!

Hmm, that's right dove season opens this weekend. Well I'll be busy in the hospital with my wife who'll be having a baby first thing tomorrow morning!!

Talondale, I'm disappointed you won't be out hunting. Where are your priorities??? Dove only comes once a year...you can have more babies!!

OF course I'm kidding. Congrats on the little one and hope all goes well for you and your wife. Let us know if boy or girl...and names, I'm partial to Buck, Forest, Meadow(for a girl) :)

Congrats Talondale! I'll be out shooting doves in my backyard Saturday after the 3-D. I'm pretty excited about that. The new place we moved into last month is on 5 acres surrounded by pasture. Our land is 2.5 acres of thick woods and 2.5 of cleared with some trees. The cleared side has a nice tank of about 1/4 acre that really brings in the doves in the morning and evening. It is also full of fish. I've never been able to hunt and fish on my own place before. God has been good to my family!

Congratulations Talendale! Ley us know what you'll be buying in the future, bluecamo or pink:).

For all you dove hunters, I know it's good sport but how many of them does it take to make a meal? If you breast them out that's got to be some small pieces of meat.

It definitely takes a few for ameal. What I do is breast them out, then fillet the breasts off the keel. I take 4 breast pieces, wrap them in a piece of pepper bacon, put them on the grill and let them go while basting in BBQ sauce. That'll make you slap the wife and love the dog!
