My name is Emery, I'm 50 years old and married to a wonderfull wife. We have3grown kids and have 3 beautiful grand kids ages 5,3,and 6 months. ( their so special)I 'm amaintenance supervisor for a Water Company and been in the maintenance field for over30 years. I also am a Lake Erie Charter captain and I take clients fishing for walleye and perch, and smallmouth bass. I've been hunting with my family and friends sinceI was old enouh to walk. I have taken somebiggerbucks scoring 110 to 150 but no monsters (Yet) I was chasing a nice big 10 pointer last year, missed him once, thenand hit his shoulder the second chance I had. Good news he's still there and well. Hopefully this year!

I just checked back on the Bowhunting Contest Thread and saw I was finally picked,the day before I recieved a private message stating they were still trying to find a Team for me to join.I have been hunting for over 30 years and have been Bow Hunting on and off over the years but in the last 4 years I have been seriously Bow Hunting and I shot a nice 6-Point Buck last year.I'm hunting on our Family Farm of about 105 Acres in Southeast Missouri and have been planting food plots and letting the smaller Bucks walk over the past 3 years.


O9mjl01 Our Bow Season starts Sept 15 on saturday....runs up to Rifle Season in Nov. pauses til the Rifle Season is over and then starts back up and goes up to Jan 15 2008.

I hope I can do our Team proud and will give 110 % effort in getting a good Buck and helping out other members here on our Team any way I can!You all have done a great job getting everything together and sorry I couldn't have been here sooner! :(

My name is Dennis, I live in Champaign Illinois and hunt private ground in Clark County, which is in the top 10% for record book deer here in Illinois....now if I could only get one of those to walk down thewrong trail. I am 33 years old as of today Aug 25th, I am married with 1 boy and 2 girls. For work I am a Lab Techat a chemical weapons depot, and most of my days off are during the week. I am also a AVID bass fisherman, SO I need to hook up with you Walleye and talk about Erie a little more, I just started going up there this summer, although I only fished the river and St. Claire.

Hi Dennis, I've always wanted to hunt in that area maybe I could take you fishing lake Erie and you could arrange a hunt for me there. I also work for a water company and we have a plant in your area as well. I also have some co-workers that live in Champaign.

Hey GTO, you prob. did pass thru here, it is flat around here. I hunt more south and east of Champaign. But I did get access to some ground bordered next to some UofI land and that's were, when I get bored and want to look at big deer I'd drive by and look at all the deer in the Uof I's land, and I mean some monster deer in the 170-190's and many of them. So hopefully I can locate a place where they are crossing from there to the place I have premission to hunt. And the best part is that this is only 5 min. from my house.:D

i have come up with a question and i figured this would be the place to ask it. on the land i hunt on there has been alot of movement going on right now and wondered where i should key in on come sept 15. there is around 350 acres of corn and 150 beans. i have notice alot of movement around the edges of corn fields and in the bottom of hollows. right now i think they are using the bottom of the hollows to go to the corn since it has matured. does this sound right at all for MO?

Hunting them food sources should be real productive for you. You have to play the wind though. If the wind isn't right hunt a different spot. I wouldn't hunt the food sources in the mornings because the deer are already in there or beded down near by. Back off about 200 to 300 yards and cut them off when they are heading back to their bedding area.

Well I just got back from hanging my climbing stand,I picked a spot on the back side of our Ridge Field over-looking some cut timber and a Lake down hill about 60 yards from the stand.The deer usually travel along the field and wood edge in the late evenings.I also cut some wood off the tree tops that were cut and pushed into piles.....man am I wore out! [&:]

Oh yeah.....only 19 days til Mo. Bow Season! :D

I'll watch and check in from time to time to see what logo you want us to vote on! ;)
