I spotted a pair of racks in the beans on Friday evening, so I decided to see how close I could stalk in on them. I made it to 25 yrds, not too bad. One was a main frame 9 and had a 3rd main beam on his left side for a 10th point. The other was the big 14 pointer I'd like to catch up with. He looks like he already broke his droptine off at about 3 inches though. Too bad I had my video camera and not my bow or one of those bucks would be in my freezer(If it were season!).

Didn't get out to CT this weekend. My grandmother had her 100th birthday on Sat. Spent the day with some family from out of town.
Went out bear hunting Friday night and had a nice sow w/ 3 little cubs come in. They were a blast to watch. I really wish I had brought my video camera. They were rolling around, wrestling, chasing eachother.... I couldn't stop laughing in the tree. Good sized sow too.

Well guys I am back from my weekend of hunting. I saw 15 deer and missed one doe(arrow hit a branch that I didn't see). It was just great finally being in the woods again. Hopefully will get out on Wednesday.

It is but I like the concept because too many people just want to shoot bucks and don't shoot the does. This way it forces hunters to help control the doe population. The nice thing in WI is that you can prequalify for your buck if you shoot a doe the year before(whether bow or gun). Last year I had both my Earn a Buck tags so I helped some of my family members get theirs(during gun season) so that is why I don't have my buck tags for this year already.

By the way I would like it if WI had both Earn a Buck and either a 3 or 4 point requirement.
