No joke...I've only seen 1 deer in the woods thus far and that was a doe. I don't know what the deal is. At least the weather cooled down a bit. Went this morning and saved a cat's life. Two coyotes had it treed and I walked in the middle of it. Didn't know it until daylight when I saw both of the yotes. Couldn't get a shot on them.

Nice shot Donnie! Looks like a great start to your vacation. My next time out will be Wednesday, then off to Goshen for a few days the following week.

Thanks man! I got her in Natural Bridge Station in the Hoppers creek.

What part of VA were you from again?

Gloucester, about 30 minute north of Yorktown. The property near Goshen is 1500 acres that borders the Boy Scout Camp. BTW, Boy Scout Camp is a really good area to hunt (about 5000 acres), you can get a permit, but I don't know how to get it.

Thanks guys! I took yesterday off since my GF got back home from a 2 week long business trip. I have almost all of next week to hunt. I'm gonna try and get that big boy I spotted about a month ago.

Good luck guys!

Nice looking Doe buddy! Good shot to.
Well guys i sead that if a buck come along that looked like he may score around a hundred inch`s or so that i would do my best to take him for the team. We can take two bucks here in Ga, So?
Sunday morning i got my chance, After watching over 10 deer feedaround at 10:30am i had buck come into range at about 30yrds,
"I made a piss poor shot" which i will tell about later but after waiting for about 5 hr before trying to track him,
I found him about 80 yrds from where i made the shot.
He is not all that big but not small ether?
He is a 8pt that should score around 100 inch`s or so.
Maby this will break the ice for the team,
I will post pic and score in the next couple of days, Good luck and good hunting! rta47...Terry
