Only 43 days for me.

The bad part of the earlyseason will be the ticks. Anyone else have a bad tick problem this year? I received a e-mail at work last weekabout a co-worker that passed away, while I did not know him (large company) the cause of death was undiagnosed Lyme disease. I hate those dam things.

Usually we have ticks coming out the wazoo around here, but we're in such a bad drought that I was able to spend about 5 hours in the woods yesterday and all I had was one little micro tick on my sock.

September first, here.

I've got to go out Friday and set my blind and hang my stands. I've never been this late getting this stuff done, but I know where the deer are, so... ;)

Mine opened on August 1st, antlers don't reach full developement until late Aug./ early Sept. though so I'll wait to get serious until I get back from moose hunting in mid Sept. (unless I have to go to sea on this damn research project for work!!![&:]) Then it'll be into mid Oct. No worries though boys, I've got until Jan.

September 15th for me. I still have a couple of stands to hang myself. Would have done it last weekend but we got about 7 inches of rain over the weekend. It's suppose to be somewhat dry this coming weekend,so hopefully I can get it done then.

And yes, having to work does suck. Especially from Sept. 15th - Dec. 31st

any of yalls states have the law where you have to shoot a doe first, before you can tag a buck?

Plus One 08-23-2007 10:17 AM

RE: 23-Official Team Rub Line Raiders Thread

If I remember right... a few years back MD had a rule that you had to shoot at least one doe before you could shoot your second buck, but I'm not sure if that one's still on the books.

Doe season doesn't open until Oct. We can get three bucks up until then when it is open for either sex but the limit is still 3.

Hey guys,

It looks like i have CT covered. I have been bowhunting for 6 years. Our season opens here on Sept 15 and for me runs through the end of the year.

My season will start though with a 2 week trip out to New Mexico for Mule deer and elk. I have a Muley tag and my brother in law has an elk tag. This will be my 3rd trip out there. We will be in unit 15. So I will be away from the computer for a while.

This is the first time i have done a contest like this. I like the bow and try to get out as much as i can.

Hopefully I will be able to help the team out. I know we don't grow them to big here in CT but i have seen some nice racks.

Good Luck everyone. Shoot straight.
