Good looking goat youngfart. Glad you got the pictures up.
I have not seen any bucks yet, but still trying. Plenty of does just no bucks. I did however arrow my first whitetail. 105 lb doe. Good Luck Guys. |
RE: 40- Official TEAM 40 Thread!
Congrats on the doe SC. I still have to wait 2 more weeks for season to open. Congrats to youngfart on the antelope. Not too much longer and I'll be headed west to give them a try myself. However, we're using .270 instead of bows.

RE: 40- Official TEAM 40 Thread!
It's hot here in MO again. We had a nice cool snap for opening weekend but now we are back to the heat. Opening morning I had a doe come in behind me but hung up at 50 yds and never offered a shot. Saturday night, I had a small buck come right from where I was hoping but instead of taking the creek crossing to the bean field, he veered off onto a logging road that parallels the field.[:@] Little 6 in velvet that I would have shot for my first buck. Might go out friday evening, but I'm not sure...gona be around 90 degrees.

RE: 40- Official TEAM 40 Thread!
What's going on guys? Let me tell ya this has been a trying week for me. After I shot my doe on Sunday I was planning on going out Monday night. So, I go outside to take a few practice shots and get to close to the rail on my deck. When I release the arrow the cam hits the rail and makes an ungodly sound. As of this afternoon I still was not getting consistent flights. I mean they were everywhere.
Well, after 3.5 days of working on this doggone thing at 4:00 I decided enough was enough. Off to the shop to see what was up. I was going to let AJ re tune everything for me since I had changed and moved everything on my Bow, including gluing my peep in place( big mistake). As I am trying to cut my peep out the razor slips and I cut my string. I am thinking to myself, GREAT!, now I have to get a new string. Thank goodness he had time to make me a custom one. Two hours later I am out shooting and getting my groups back. Tomorrow I will fine tune the rest and sight then back to the woods on Sunday. Man, I feel much better now. Good luck this weekend everyone. Here is a picture of my new strings. ![]() |

Childers
I am pretty sure they will. The guys at sportsmans warehouse told me if I had any trouble setting mine up when I first bought it to bring it to them and they would help me. But then I went to a shop here in town ( I did not buy the bow form him) and he has been a pleasure to work with. Has not charged me for any tuning or installation of other products. Lucky 4 The Safety Strap
Well guys, thank God for routine's cause he saved my butt last night . I got into my stand at 5:15 last night to a westerly wind and man the colours are brilliant right now of the leaves changing clours. I set up my bow on the tree limb and then sometimes I sit. For some reason conected my strap to the tree and then sat . Down I went till I clung on to the stand and tree. All this happened and not much noise came of it. Cept my heart was in my throat[:@].My new paint job did nothing for the weld on the seat. Thanks for my checking out new locations I have set forth that I do each season before the rut.[&:]Wowzer ,for sudden urgencies, thank God for the urgency cause I would have went down 21 feet to the ground and then what???? That's why team I always sign off stating don't forget the safety strap. Low n behold I did the opposite when Antelope hunting last week[:o]I forgot my strap one morning and still continued to stay on stand:(.That was the devil trying to get even with me . He failed miserably[>:].This was God reminding me . I saw nothing as I stood for the next 2 1/2 hours till dark. Two nights on stand no sightings yet, Patience and they will come,:D.That, I have a ton of. Good luck guys and shoot straight. Will be back in the saddle tomorrow night.Rocky |
