Well boys, exactly 5 weeks from today and I will be heading back up to the Ungava Peninsula to chase Quebec-Labrador caribou with my dad, my best friend, a good buddy from work and two of my dad’s friends. I simply cannot wait to get back up there. It is unlike anywhere else I have ever been, even Alaska, for the sense of pure wilderness that surrounds you. When you climb to the top of a ridge, you can see for miles and yet you do not see one light, one road, or any evidence that man even exists anywhere but in your little camp. Couple that with fantastic bowhunting, great fishing, and good company and it just can’t get much better. Let’s just hope the weather is decent and the caribou cooperate;)

Sounds awesome! I just found something strange on my chest yesterday. I looked in the mirror and saw what looks like two bites. Upon further review, it looks like two fang marks about 1/2 inch apart with some swelling about the size of a quarter with a reddish area about twice the size. Funny thing about it is I didn't feel anything bit me. Oh well I think I will ride it out to see if anything else happens with it.

Spiders can gettcha. I always swell up a little and then it goes away in a day or two. Hopefully that is all that it is. If it changes colors get to the Dr. ASAP. Take care of yourself man, we need you healthy for this fall;)

Good luck on the AK adventure. Sounds like alot of fun.

I just purchased a gorund blind yesterday that I can throw up and leave in my new hot spot where I have found those few large bucks. Hopefully no one will steal it since it will be on public land...

I also bought it so my wife will enjoy hunting more in the cold. She really liked it when I had it set up in the living room, until she couldn't see her show on the TV.:(

Whats up guys, sorry I've been slacking lately on my posts, but I have been busier than heck. My dad drew a non-resident tag for here (Montana) this year, so I have been in the mountains looking for elk every chance I get, and cutting firewood. I saw three BRUISER muleys last night on ground I cam hunt, so, I'm pretty pumped about that. looking forward to this years contest as well, hopefully we can repeat.
