RE: Autumn Assassins
well if that damn 170 comes thru we'll be within 4 points of first place, unless of course I add a few inches you know like glue on a shed or something. i got a week and a half of good hunting left, then gun hunting comes around.

RE: Autumn Assassins
I hope so... I have not seen anything bigger than a basket 6, but I'm hunting in a new area on public land...
Lost the farm I was hunting to bulldozers and a new housing community... Ah, urban sprawl!!!

Oh man Jester, that is terrible. It really makes me sick when I see farms disappearing into suburbs. To be quite honest with you, any buck for your first year on a new property is pretty darn good. It always takes years to really figure a place out and depending on the public land it can be difficult forever. So, don't feel pressure from here to wait for a monster. Best of luck buddy. I sure hope it works out for you.

RE: Autumn Assassins
Yeah... But its just tough to shoot that little 6 knowing that if he makes it to next year he could be a nice 8..... IF - right?
Well I'll be back in the woods tomorrow and then again all day Fri.
We shall see. Boy it is getting tough to find good hunting property in MD!!!

RE: Autumn Assassins
On public land around here there would be no reason to left him go....someone would shot him. If you think that he will make it to next year then I would probably let him go, but if I felt that he was probably going to get shot anyway I would really have to think it over.

RE: Autumn Assassins
Can someone double check Rob's math on my buck. According to my hand calculations, Microsoft Excel, and my calculator, it adds up to 150. Rob changed my total to 149 7/8. Not that the 1/8 matters, but I just want to see.
