Good luck Beagle! I hope to get in the woods this afternoon also.

Im taking my lab to a specialist today to hopefully find out whats wrong with her. Shes been sick the whole summer, off and on, and the vet cant figure it out.Hopefully the ultrasound today shows something.

Good luck to both of you. Hopefully your dog isn't to bad and they can figure it out.

The dog came first today. No hunting for me again. I was at the specialist all day with her. They sedated her, took more x-rays, urinalysis, blood work, etc (all for the same low price as my mortgage). The vet thinks it might be a tick borne disease. Results should be in by monday from the university, of course thats the same day I want to go hunting. Ill make it to the woods one of these days, dont worry!

Yeah, vets are not cheap these days. We have to take our Cocker in for ear infections every now and then and we know as well as they know exactly what it is but they say "We still have to run the test". Of course they do, so they can charge us the extra $90 for the test and say yep that's what it is. I just want to kick them evrytime they do it but I can't.

Sounds like fun Beagle. I always enjoy just seeing deer when I am out. Keep at it and the big one will make his mistake at the wrong place and time one of these days.

I know that I probably have a different outlook than most on this, but if my dogs would ever cost me anything near my mortgage, they are getting the $0.25 treatment if you know what I am saying.

Beagle, sounds like a great evening to me. I'll be spending my weekend on the lease, hopefully finding a few good places to put stands and maybe take a doe. I have yet to hunt over there, so I am excited about it.

Jim, the cost was equal to my monthly payment, not my enitre mortgage. I do understand youropinion though. We all viewpets in different regards and have our own limits. I have mine also, but this dog has been a big part of my life and Ive invested a lot of time and money into her. Im not giving up on her anytime soon.
