A guy in my hunting club killed a 130-135" 8 point yesterday. He wasn't rutting yet and he wasn't chasing does. The rut around here usually starts around the first of the year. Funny thing, last weekend it was record low temps (11 degrees saturday and 14 degrees sunday) and this weekend it has been record highs in the 70's. Strange weather. I hope this don't effect deer movement. I'll keep everyone informed.

I killed a real nice 6 pointer this afternoon. He was about 150 lbs, 16 inch inside spread with 4 inch diameter main beams all the way to the point. He kinda caught me by surprise and I got a shot off at around 30 yards. He ran about 50 yards before giving up. It didn't last long but it was a rush. I need help getting a picture on here and on the score card. I am going to score him tomorrow. I wish I could have done better for the team but I am tickled pink about the kill. The rut is just getting going around here so maybe bigger bucks will bless me with their presence in the next couple of weeks.

Congratulations treehunter!!!!Post a picture for us as soon as possible so we all can see it.(I do not really know how to post a picture either, youcould PM Rob/PA Bowyer, he maybe able tooffer some help).

It is nice to know that someone out there is having a bit of success. I have about two more weeks left of bow season and it is not looking good, but hopefully things will turn around for me. What about everyone else, is your season still in? If so, when does it end? Having any luck?

I hope Santa was good to everyone, I know he was good to me (too good acually).

Good Job treehunter on the buck. I think we have till Jan 10th then the season ends here so cross yer fingers fellas. We knocked out so many good bucks during shotgun season but didn't hunt where I bow hunt so maybe he is still out there. Was going to go this a.m. but due to lots of rain decided not too. Maybe this p.m.

That is not really a late season buck around here. The season don't end until Jan 31. The rut is just starting so I will be in the woods alot for the next couple of weeks.
