Well guys I would like to tell you I had a successful season this year but that is not the case. I only saw one shooter buck and hit some limbs when I attempted a shot. I was able to take a 4pt during the second shotgun season as time was running out. The wife gave orders to fill the tag with some venison and get back to working on the honey-do list. I'll probably go out during the muzzleloader season and maybe some more bowhunting for a doe or 2 but my only buck tag is used up. Good Luck to everyone still out there.

Took a trip over to the dark side yesterday, broke out the ML for a late season antlerless only hunt. Didn't see anything moving but a squirrel... I hope this late season CT thing pans out.

Went to one of my spring turkey spots that I've been meaning to check out for deer this fall today.Sat for a few hours in a tree, saw nothing but red squirrels. I havent been there since this past spring, and when the sun came up, I noticed what looked like a rub 20 yards right in front of me. When I got down I saw I was right. It was pretty torn up, looks like a big deer did it. I hope he survived gun season, maybe I'll have a chance to get back there before its all over.
