10- Team "10 POINT" Offical Thread

I think JeramyK nailed it Team 10 Point sounds good to me. Simple and it seems to fit us.
As for the captain, it didn't seem like Basserman said no. He probably has the most experience. Gets my vote if he accepts.

Team 10 point has my vote as well as basserman.
Was that smack mantis? I couldn't tell it was a little weak. If it was, good job. A little healthy jaw jacking between teams will past the time before we win.
And yes I am planning on doing a video, thanks for asking.
Good luck to and your team

Hey copper I think we are Team 10 Point. Can you edit our thread and make it official? I don't hear any objections. We'll have to wait till basser gets back from his tourney to see if he accepts the position.

I think basser is the man to do it. Now since we dont have much to say. What kind of bows and broad heads does everyone use. And on broadheads share any expieriences you have with them and others bad or good. It will be good to see what is the most favored head out there. I use muzzys and have a PSE Brute Force. Vary old bow with no let off.

I shoot a Matthews Switchback and Rocket Hammerheads, 3 blades with a 2" dia. cut. I like them because I hunt a lot in suburban areas and want a quick kill. Hit them in the lungs with a hammerhead and they don't go far. I don't want to have to trail them thru my neighbors yards. My subdivision has 3 acre lots so we have a little room. I wait for the perfect shot and they rarely make it 50 yds. I see most of them fall. The only drawback is I usually only get one shotwith themand the blades are bent. But I will make that trade every time.

I shoot a Fred Bear Epic Extreme. Full Metal Jacket arrows tipped with 100gr spitfires. I have had only good experiences with spitfires. I have seen most of them fall. They however are not very durable. Some broad heads you can resharpen but not these. The blades bend pretty easy. This will be my first year shooting the Full Metal Jackets.

I am still not sure what bow will be going into the woods with me this season. My wife tells me I need to sell some gear.
Last season I took my Patriot over my Switchback. This season I think the Tribute is most likely to be my weapon of choice. I shoot Beman ICS Hunters and Gold Tip Hunters with Muzzy 3 or 4 blade heads.

Here are some pics from last year. I found this licking branch that the deer just love. But this is the frustrating part of having trail cams. I sat there many times and saw only does (killed 1) and small buck. These guys only show up after dark. As far as I know noone killed any of these bucks last year. I know most of the neighbors, and the local taxidermist is a good friend. I really want "CURLY"!!!! No I didn't put anything on the branch, made sure not to touch it!!!
