Im gona ask around on some local farms for permission so I dont gota drive the hour to my grandmaws. I think some of my old neighbors will give me permission. There land is only 5 minutes away.

Well guys it just keeps getting better. I had 7 different bucks follow the edge of the field where I havea stand. I wish I would have satin it tonight. I watched for about 30 min until I lost them in the creek bottom. They were a ways away but the next time Iget the same wind I have a stand waiting for me over there already. I was able to see 8 other deer that worked their way around my stand. All does and fawns, but it was still a good time. Between the rain and the wind I really didn't expect to see to much. I was wrong.

Well I got the talk this morning. I have been going to work early so I get up at 4am and try to be here for 5am. This way I am able to leave early and get out to the woods. My wife woke up this morning and was complaining a little about the time I have been spending in the woods. Don't get me wrong my wife is wonderful and I get away with a lot. I told here she just doesn't understand. She then had to mention to me that she thinks I am an addict, and there must be a group or something. I said there is but they are all out hunting. She gave me a punch and went back to bed. I think she was making fun of me more then anything. I was a little upset last night because I couldn't hunt. A friend of mine who is a die hard duck hunter wanted to go duck hunting on saturday and there happens to be a river that runs on part of my land. To make a long story short I had to bring him out there and show him around so I didn't get to hunt last night. It was a perfect night though. But ohwell thats the way it goes sometimes. I will be out there tonight for sure. We will be getting heavy rain this weekend so it may wash out any hunting plans.
