I will be in a tree this time next week!!!!!! My season opens next Friday and it just happend that I am getting dish network installed that day between 10:00 and 2:00. So I have to take off work and hunt in the morning then meet the installers and get that done and there should be enough time for an afternoon hunt too. What timing I coulnd't have planned it any better. ThenI plan on hunting Sat. and Sun. also.

I really like the team AVATAR, great job on the grafics.

Gotta go wash all my camo and get stuff ready!

Yeah, things have been hectic here too. Between work, family and my summertime hobbies I've been busy. I've been getting my gear in order and making a checklist of stuff I need to buy. Going to be making a road trip to Cabelas sometime next week. :D

Saturday can't come fast enough. Although they say it will be in the upper 70's this weekend, it will still be nice to get out there. It will be a good time for my little guy to get some time logged in a stand. We have been practicing at church sitting still and being quiet. He will be 6 on Thursday so he is excited. Just hope to see a few deer maybe some bear. If all else fails he gets to bring his game boy.

I know the feeling.... at least you get to be in the woods. The opener is Sept 30 for us, I am losing my mind waiting for it.

Well guys it is 6:30 Thursday morning. I am sitting at my desk thinking about nothing but Saturday morning. I went for a drive last evening to check on one of my properties which is on a dead end road. There is more traffic then you think for a dead end road. There were amess ofdeer in the food plot out in the corner of the field. A few does, a few small bucks and one pretty respectable 9 point. Maybe 120 to 130. He is rubbed off, where as the smaller bucks weren't. I know there are some real nice bucks out there just haven't seen them lately. I was out there pretty early so who knows what else would have came out. A nearby farmer tells me there is a real dandy out there. When he holds his hand up to show me the spread it gets bigger every time. This deer has to be like 30" spread according to him. I think he may have a bit to much time logged in on the old John Deere. He likes his Jack Daniels. I will have to edit this if he is right though. So I am still just sitting here waiting. Oh ya I almost forgot I got my earn a buck tag in the mail yesterday. I shot a doe last year so that means I don't have to wait this year. Of course I really need to take some doe out of there but if I see that 30" spread of a buck he is mine. Any way have a good day guys. I here my name being page out in the plant. Hopefully no one got hurt.
