Bob... here is my little fess up story. The morning I shot my buck last year wouldn't have happened had my wife not woke me up. Work had been a killer with late hours and 10 or so days straight of work.

What turned out to be a great morning hunt for me thanks to her, cost Tyler ( my son )a chance at a very nice buck. The one I just posted on in fact. Since we were late getting to our hunts spots that morning... we ran into this buckjust as we were gettingto Tyler's spot. Had we gotten there when we should have, this buck probablywould have been Tyler's. That has bothered me for almost a year now.

While Tyler thinks this is the buck I am after this yearand told me he hopes I get it... he gets first crack at him when the wind is right. Seems only fair. He will have his work cut out for him but I've got faith in him. :D

Thats a beautiful buck, Tim. His buddy there in the one pic looks pretty interesting too. Good luck to you and Tyler with him this year!

How old is your son?

Tyler is 15. He goes by dagger buck 2 and is on Team 33. While he is young... his hasbeen tromping along with me since he was 6. He knows more about deer now then I did at 30.

The smaller buck is not too bad either. We have seen him numerous times and goes about 130. Give him a couple years and he will be just as big as the buck pictured.

Oh and not to worry. There are a couple more bucks in this area. One we call Gray Buck. While I don't have any decent pictures of him... he is a hawg too. Nice brows tine and very tall G2 and G3s for our area. He should be in the 150's range at the very least.

We put a lot of effort into this area and have a good game plan. Hopefully it pays off for one of us... maybe even both. :D

I have one really good (for PA) buck patterned pretty well. I saw him four times last year in the late season after Ihad used my tagdecent 3 1/3 year old. I had him at 12 yards the last day of our late season but had nothing but a doetag. I've not seen him in person this year but hissign is there and I'm trying not to blow him out of there. He beds on property that I have exclusive rights to hunt but because its a very tight spot I'm treating it with Kid Gloves. He was a main frame 10 with good symmetry and good mass. Ijudged him at high 140's last year so he ought to be approaching his prime this season.

I havent been able to scout my Illinois lease since April due to the distance and some health problems but I'm about to catch up on that here in the coming weeks.

Hey team, lets get to know each other.. Ya know, age, where we hunt, years bowhunting, what we shoot, biggest buck, most embarrasing moment while hunting etc?
My name is Joey, age 24. I've hunted Kansas all my life. I started bowhunting at the age of 15. My biggest bow buck came during my 2nd year of bowhunting, with a double main-beamed 9X5 (Not sure on the score).

I got married about 3 months ago. My wife and I love to hunt together. The past couple of seasons we've been filming each other on Antelope, Boar, Turkey, and Deer hunts. This year we finally spent the money to purchase a professional setup, in hopes to getting some good quality footage. Filming, while the other hunts, is something we really love to do. It's become another aspect of the hunt.

I've been doing some scouting on the weekends, and have been seeing some good bucks. We've seen one big 6X5 (frame), with a deep forked G-2, 3 different times. I'm guessing he has a 160-170 class frame and should gross into the 180's with extra non-typ. points. He was also with a couple other big mature 8ptrs. Muzzleloader season opens in 13 days, so my wife (who is ML gun hunting) is getting pretty anxious. The bucks are all still in full velvet.

Next weekend we're traveling to Oklahoma to do some wild boar hunting. I'm pretty excited for the hunt, and it's a good way to get practiced up and get everything in line, before the start of deer season.

My name is Deborah and I am a Married Mother of 2 boys.
I first began bowhunting I guess around 7 years ago when my husband introduced me to it. It has since become a way of life that I live and breath and dream about every day. We on a few rare occasions get to go out to hunt together but we usually have our own seperate game plans and usually go our seperate ways in the field.
I am employed full time in the Archery Industry as a Bow Technician, Archery Instructor and Events Manager. I spend most of the year when not imersed in bowhunting with my focus on National Level 3D Archery Tournament Competitions and really enjoy the travels to other states and the neat people we meet at the Tournaments we compete in.
I haven’t had the time to really scout as much as I would like to this year due to the fact that I am working 6 and sometimes 7 days a week but I do have a few good spots that consistently produce good deer and I have gained a new spot to bowhunt this year that holds some tremendous bucks.
I am flattered by the nomination to be team captain along with the other fine members of our team but I will have to decline the nomination. I feel that I dont have the time to dedicate to our team on the internet due to the demands that my job places on my time.
I would like to cast my vote for ksHunter to represent us as our Team Captain he is doing a pretty good job at it so far.
