I'm going this Friday and Saturday in Florida, can't promise anything big, but I'll take the shot if I get one! My brother got a nice 150 lbs. cow-horn spike yesterday down there! He had 10 inch spikes. They are rutting down there right now, so it could be interesting. Y'all have a great week and good luck in the woods!

Although it's hard to wait I'm kinda glad that our season doesn't come in until the middle of October. I don't think that I would like setting in a stand in the August and September heat. Good Luck Doc.

Hey guys how's it going??
Ok here, seen lots of does and a few scrub buck but nothing I've wanted to take so far. I've got plenty of meat in the freezer from last year.
I have been very busy teaching hunters ed classes and taking kids out hunting and teaching kids how to shoot to get them ready to hunt when our gun season comes in.
I've been pretty lucky to be able to spend so much time in the woods. I hope you guys are having the same luck (with the time.)
Good hunting,

Keith

Good to hear from you. I've been busy with the yardwork and work. Hunted the NW suburbs of Chicago and it's really hit and miss. You really can't pattern them since they move around and you really can't follow. But hey I connected weith a big 9-pointer last year in my backyard so it's just luck and time. Going out to Wisconsin on the weekend for two days, weather is getting colder. My friend who owns the propery was up this weekend and says there is a huge scrape right next to my foodplot. Hope that works out!

This weekend I saw roughly 20 deer, 2 spikes, 17 does, one I dont know what it was, it came through real early, it was the first deer I saw, never got a look at its head. All were just over 40 yards or a little more away.

Sounds like u need to move your stand a few yards omega.

I didn't get to hunt last weekend, but we are starting to get some colder temps so I'll be out some this week and next weekend.
